Somehow I missed this. If it is not too late, my vote goes for Ushabti (because I want to see some painted Ushabti ). If you are painting an army to field, then that could change things.

Those look really good. Some of your best work. What colours/techniques did you employ to achieve the bone sections?

 

Literally army painter bone primer then Vallejo sepia wash.

Edit: this is an army, but more fun then competitive. Ushabti has a vote and sphinxes have a vote.

 

Simple but effective. Everything works well together on the model.

Sphinxes are good too... but Ushabti still get my vote.

 

Old tomb guard are the best tomb guard. Not that I don't like the new guys, but the new guys sun crest has always felt wierd

 

I think both sculpts are nice, but I admittedly prefer the new ones better. They have such awesome shields.

 

They always drank their glasses of milk!

 

They were trying to make them equally representable next to things like Empire Spearman and Chaos Warriors

Maybe the mortuary cult added the text recently as a way to bind the spirits of the warrior to their undead bodies.

Great work! The armies of Settra have grown!

 

My king would beg to differ, but I guess settra is Khemrikhara after all.

 

In the end they will all bow to the will of Ra'nubis!

 

Will all the crap that happened after work, at least I got one stage done.
