Lustria-Online's Unit Painting Challenge with PRIZES

Are salamanders eligible for this contest? I don't recall their unit type, but the first post states specifically states no monsters or monstrous beasts (I assume that will be for a later contest).
 
I may force myself to join this, just so I finally paint something (can't remember the last time I did lol).
 
I hope they are because one is allready painted so?

Are they?
 
well it says clearely in the lizardmen army book that salamanders are not monsters (but if all the handlers are slain it must pass a ld test or roll on the MONSTER reaction table.

but they are not mosters ;)

haha sorry mate, would have been cool to see two bunches of spiders out there. They were the very first things i ever started painting (and as you can see, I only got to prime the spiders), so they've been waiting for over 2 years to be finished! Am planning on doing all 10, but only need 5 to meet the minimum unit requirement, so I'll see how i go.
 
Here is the unit that I will be painting. A 22 Skink, 2 Kroxigor unit. You will notice that the skink in the champion position has some red tinted paint. That is because he was re primed to be painted in line with the rest of my skinks. Also notice the two tone primer on the kroxigors. I accidentally did this with some previous models and liked the effect it gives.

The models are finally prepped (removing mold lines and filling with green stuff) and I'm ready to start painting :).
 
Just for general information, even though salamander packs are classified as war beasts, after discussing it with Strewart, we decided to allow them since unlike monsters, you can have multiple salamanders in a unit.

It's good to see a lot of you guys have decided to take part in this challenge, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this ends up. Also, for those who want to participate, it is NOT too late to enter your own unit!!!!

This is gonna be so much fun :D.
 
Im thinking about entering one of my Orcs and Goblins units. Is a single Orc Boar Chariot considered "unit" for this contest? I'm thinking that or else a unit of Goblin Wolf Riders. (Building an O&G army for my Border Princes campaign.. someone else took Lizardmen. lol).
 
No chariots, go for the goblin wolf riders :D.

Ok guys, I know 10 ghouls isn't much, and thats why I bought 10 more of them :)
They look just like the others so do I have to post another pic or is it enough to just tell ya? Strewart?
 
You guys are all making me feel really slow - I felt like I was doing great by getting my models primed this afternoon.

Anyway, here is my mob of headless, armless, Savage Orcs getting ready to invade my kitchen:

1968yearofmetall it's all good, we know you at least painted 10 during the contest :P. No kidding, don't waste precious painting time on sending a pic :D.
