Those are the zombicide game-plastic skellie archers. which reminds me I really have to bite the bullet and just write the liber Osseus - my review of plastic skeleton kits both on the market and in the past. They are decently detailed, and if you can find the box set in available stock they are inexpensive and good enough to warrant wargames use.
Nope, these are runewars. Kevin has more money than storage. He also has a 30 year running DnD campaign with a few buddies, and has various "armies" for the factions in his setting. I'm painting them all. yay job security, at least for painting.
How is this possible? What kind of sprcery is this. I had mine for a year and then canceled it because of some of players being absent without a word basically every session.
He and his two principle players meet yearly, although from what I understand they try for more then that. The rest of the year they game and chat online.
I worked on a demon Prince earlier this morning. Yesterday evening I also did some work on some commission orcs and didn't minor conversion on my Tzeentch chaos giant.
Primed some dudes. I have a few commission things to work on but will be working on these intermixed.
I have an old gamer friend who happens to be a Vietnam vet and is starting to go through his stuff and pare down. It seems that every time I go over to hang out he gives me things. I now have three sets of artillery, three sets of Infantry, and two sets of cavalry from the old war games factory war of the Spanish succession range. This works out to six guns with crew, six general / command figures on horseback, 24 cavalry and 108 Infantry. Those of you long in the tooth might remember that this line was bought out and is now marketed by warlord games at twice the price of its original cost. The detail is medium, but this was one of War Games factories better lines in that respect. I have no idea what I'm going to use these for. I might just start converting and see what takes me and where.
A project that just happened to come under Providence one more time this year. War of the Spanish succession Bavarian army
It's not a hobby project if you don't cut yourself. Scored myself a lovely new wound on my right thumb while cleaning some bavarians of their sprue gates.
"Now hold on, do you really -" [LoR has a flashback to building all of his models and how many times he has cut himself while doing so] ... [Silence reigns]
State of the painting desk: 3 more Bavarian Infantry One random 13th century knight Three commissioned skeleton archers 5 halfling infantry 2 orcs with great weapons And the old plastic version of gandalf I've never painted before. All our work in progress And then I have the finished King and dark elf, with my new D&D character Folceine the human fighter (level one at the very least) in the center.
3 more bavarians, 2 orcs, a grey wizard, a 13th century knight (,heraldry WIP,)all done. I'm prioritizing Kevin's commission items over the next week so you may see an uptick In painting.
