I couldn't see any options for Eagle Warriors on the sprue, which is a shame. I can't see WA making a special kit just for them when the Jaguar Warriors appeared in the standard kit either
That is the only head that didn't make it into the set. Considering you can make pretty much every other warrior type from this box that with maybe a little bit of conversion for back banners, and I think it's a worthy sacrifice to have to go buy eagle Warriors somewhere else or convert them otherwise

I would have preferred Eagle Warrior heads be included as well as Jaguar Warrior heads to complete the set, but I can imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to greenstuff eagle beaks and eyes onto the jaguar hoods (over the jaguar snouts and eyes) and cut off the jaguar ears.

Feathers could then be greenstuffed onto the Jaguar Warrior robes, though you'll need a lot of patience (and greenstuff) to see it done for a whole regiment of them.

That's the entire reason why it got scrapped.

The feathered Tlahuiztli would have required a separate body, not to mention the separate arms and head.

This way we only have to source One of the warrior societies from an alternative miniature source. And you can do 99% of everything else with this kit

You can even do two captive warriors, which I haven't seen before except in metal

Nice work on your Host of Zlatlan! The saurus look good in a massive horde.

And thanks for sharing the Jaguar warriors, I like the work you put into making their shields muticolored and unique :artist:

Thanks Warden. Both projects are ongoing, and I think I'm mainly going to swap between them this year.

For example, I'm currently finishing out the unit of Jaguar warriors.

After that, I have a unit of medium spearmen with shields, and a unit of archers.

3 units of 20 from the first two boxes.

I just got in my weekly stock order from wargames atlantic. which included 3 boxes I bought for myself for this project.

those next two boxes will make:

20 2nd captive warriors with macahuitl

20 1rst captive warriors in medium armor with macahuitl

20 unarmored novice warriors with macahuitl

The final box in this shipment will be used to make at least 2 command stands, as well as a few other conversions.

Well apparently that photo didn't load.

Here's what I got done last night. 9 infantry, with the tester 2 thrown in. Rest of the unit will be progressed over the weekend and should be finished by Monday afternoon assuming my time does not go elsewhere which most definitely could.

I have been issued a challenge by my friend, Toramasa, who plays deepkin.

So I dug out my AoS stuff and I had a choice between skaven and FEC.

My Flesh eater courts scheme also share a few colors with my current project, so tandem projects it is
