So I wanted to keep this secret for longer but quite can't hold it haha, a short while back I wrote in the fluff and stories section about a particular lizard.

Ataxa will be returning for AoS, Ataxa 2.0. When I did my test run of him back in Fantasy battle he was quite a balanced character, powerful yet full of risks decided by the dice most of the time, example that he dragged a bunch of Temple Guard (Saurus Guard) into a fight.
Will going to be attempting for a AoS warscroll but not sure yet, mostly focused on kitbashing the new model.
At the moment he still runs as a single model, no mount but not sure whether to add a companion.
Ataxa now focuses on running a more monstrous army, he kind of patched together his own from finding the shambles of his old army, how he spent many moons following the fading stars. Will try to write the piece of the finding of them.
Ataxa's army runs the more larger creatures. Salamanders, Razordons and then up to the large Carnosaurs and maybe a Dread Saurian.
The Swamp Lizards are coming back.

Also hoping for this to be the next Armies on Parade, revisiting the old colour scheme and improving it.

A sneak peek at Ataxa 2.0

Made from a Bloodbowl Saurus, got to do some gap filling and the model should be ready.
I do have my aims for Ataxa's army to be beast based, thinking what would be a nice 'battleline' unit, it's a choice between Kroxigors or Terradons/Rippers.

Update: Then thinking about it, Kroxigors could be better as Ataxa will at least be able to keep up

YES! More people should be converting the Bloodbowl models to Sigmar. Love the conversion! I will hopefully get my own Bloodbowl models for Christmas
Thank you! I hope to eventually convert all the models in the box, the only thing that makes them look different is the shorts they wear. Other than that they fit in nicely

Honestly, I’m just going to add some loin cloths I have laying around from orks and I plan to cover the stripes on the sides with armor

So I didn't get any Warhammer for Christmas but it was to be expected really, trying to persuade family why Warhammer for Christmas is a hard one. They look at the price and go "No"

Having some thinking on what will go on in 2020.
Well of course Armies on Parade will be a thing, hoping to revisit the old green/brown colour scheme of Seraphon.
Will be holding off on buying Warhammer till the new book drops, got to have the money by and ready.
If rumours are right and it will drop in February it might work out well as I have plans to pick up some Skyrim miniatures when they get released in March. When I saw them it gave me the idea of picking them up to practice working more closely to references. I usually use refs if I want to understand certain colours more but most of the time I just experiment with colour combos and layers. Hopefully this challenge will help me learn to work closely to recreate the colours and other details from references.

WIP of some Skeletons, working out whether I want to add a shade just to bring the bone and brown together before I highlight but it looks good, on the slight messy looking side but it looks good on skeletons. Then the picture slightly washes in the colours so it takes a bit of looking at the picture.IMG_20200110_104455557.jpg

Pictures galore time!
Finished SC Skeletons for the New Year, New Army. I was having a think on what else to add to the models, mostly the bases but I can't think of anything so left until something comes to mind.

The lights on the lightbox loved to wash out the colours, anything bone or white will be very bright.
Now next on the list is 20 Dire Wolves

Two Endless spells painted for the Undead, mostly aiming for the spells being able to be used for any army.

Still finishing the Dire Wolves, got some Nighthaunt primed and ready. Do aim to finish the Dire Wolves next week or so.

All 20 Dire Wolves complete, next will be painting some Nighthaunt and rebasing and painting a Zombie Dragon. After them it will be roughly 2000 points worth when I last checked.
Played around with the Fluor paints from Greenstuffworld for the eyes and the teeth on the leader. Had to do a lots of repainting how this stuff can get everywhere.
I can just about fit the 20 into the lightbox. Need a bigger one.
