Just a small update, still chipping away at painting these Nurgle models, 8th edition has got me carrying on with putting my Tyranids together, got a new scheme idea now to figure out how to actually pull it off. Maybe tons of layered drybrushing.

Another written update, so much to do but my motivation says no.
With GW reminding me about the upcoming Armies on Parade, so back to thinking on that. So back and forth thinking and debating hard, I had some say I should use my Tale of Gamers Nurgle army I am currently working, well not exactly that proud of them, well proud but not to the point of entering them in such an event. I want something I can pull off and be fully proud of. Others say the Tyranid army I am planning, problem is that will I be proud of their colours too? I think this my first time working with near white colours so it's a 50/50.
Plus also still having the AoS board from last year with the Shattered Dominion paints.
I more work with the dark theme colours, even my jungle Lizards have dark greens. Should I stick with my trusted colours and just expand on them much further? See what I can improve there.
Don't really want myself in a position where I get annoyed painting certain colours and I am stuck doing it.

Been sitting a thinking on ideas for the parade, been grabbing the images of the models I wish to use, still need to add a few more. Also depending on the extra info they will be giving out.

If I can remove a lot of the tech from the priests it will be an added bonus
Will be having three of the Crypt Horrors.
This will be ending up as a non-use army, so heavily customised for the theme-in-progress.

Need to have a look and see what else I can add
As for the theme, more like a crypt/cathedral theme.

Been testing out with shading by drybrushing instead of using the shade inks. Has quite a nice effect, will have to go back over with the Russ grey to fix some areas then onto small highlighting. Takes a while to do but I like this slightly better than slapping shade on.

Testing out the washes to lightly create some veins, hard to see in the picture but trying not to overdo it.

Mostly on the head, arms and legs. Did a bit on his front and back too.

Excellent technique, what colour are you going for the claws, I think if you do them Eshin grey they would fit in well.

Just a change of plans, especially how with Armies on Parade the army has to be written down.
Going with the Coa'Xoach Seraphon army, new to painting more lighter colours. The blue Slann and the blue Skinks that I've painted for the army in the previous posts.

The dragon is for a conversion

I love how the head came out on this, fiddly but results were great

And how the mould lines appear after priming.
Seem to be running into many problems so far in this project :p first the texture on the primer but fixed that a bit, polystyrene being polystyrene.

Night-time picture taking, been waiting for tomorrow to come so I can go and get some paint to continue on with the Cold Ones.
Have a picture of the Skink Starpriest's Cold One

The other's will have similar but the markings on the face will be smaller.
For the converted dragon, I went with Daemonette Hide for the scales and Death World Forest for the underside.... it is a 50/50 whether the end results will be good. I wanted a more camouflaged look but still wanted a slight vibrant colour.

Just seeing what there is so far for the board, still a lot of work to do, yet the parade day is at the start of November so a bit more time than the last.

Luckily enough the scenery pieces take a lot of space up so filling in empty space shouldn't be too hard. Just aiming to get all this done first though.
