Blog Nathans WIP

I finished the centerpiece model for the guys I'm working on rn, there were a few things I had in my head that I wasn't able to get the way I wanted but im overall pretty happy with how she turned out. She was also the second model I printed that when I was halfway through I realized she was way too big and reprinted it scaled down. That's a really cool looking model and an excellent job painting it. It looks very intricate. Was it hard to paint?
 
A few things were difficult, the way it was designed I had to build the dragon around the throne and couldn't really do it as 2 pieces, so there was a fair bit of painting around stuff. And since I scaled it down the metal filigree stuff on the character was less prominent then it would have been but was still raised enough that it wasn't too bad to hit without much over spill.

Well worth the effort in the end.
 
Oh my god! That is amazing model. And I demand clean picture of Splintah! :D
 
I Didn't like the initial skin tone on this guy so I had a hard time finishing him, if I do another one in the future I'll start with a darker brown but im not too upset about the way he turned out. 1000013718.jpg1000013719.jpg

Skin tone is great as it is. If you do another one, I'll be looking forward to side by side photos.

It was 3 months ago lol. It didnt turn out too bad but was a little pinker then what I had in my head, I probably only need 1 for playing but I have 4 printed so hopefully when/if I get the majority of this army done I'll do another one.

Other options I think included Chotec's Feather and maybe one other? All the names and basic color scheme starting ideas were from the Colours of the Stars section of the Seraphon Battletome.

Looking good thus far Nathan. Keep it up, and if you are doing knights next, be careful with their cold-ones. Seems like lots of people have gaps when gluing those guys together.

You may not like the skin tone, but I definitely do. The blade on that scythe needs a dry brush of a lighter shade of blue-green though, imo. Just to make it really pop.

What model is that?
 
Thanks! Its a moonatuar from archvillain games moondance set. Next weapon i do like that I'll give that a go
