Moscow, Idaho aka the Idaho Palouse. Famous for its rolling hills that do look nice in the Spring and Summer, but look like complete rubbish in the Fall and most of the Winter. And no we do not grow potatoes, that's southern Idaho, I'm up north in the Panhandle. We do grow a lot of wheat and lentils though.
Wow 5 pages!! I'll keep this going I hail from Dublin, Ireland; where the men are drunk and the sheep are nervous
Despite being 50% Irish, I am born and bred in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. A country so great, that we manged to get the word "great" into our name! For those in far away lands, here are some facts about the UK: We have a monarchy. Sadly, unlike in Warhammer, our Queen and princes ride in limos. If only they would ride Hippo-gryphs or dragons, they'd get more respect and it would help our tourism industry during the recession. The UK is made up of 4 countries: England, N.Ireland, Scotland and Wales. This set-up enables us to enter 4 separate national teams into sporting events like the football world cup and Euro championships. This cunning plan so far just seems to result in 4 times as much failure. One of our 4 countries (N.Ireland) is so far away across the water, that France is actually nearer to the other 3. (But due to some established Anglo-French sentiments, we would have even asked China to join before we asked France). We pay some of the highest tax rates (sales and income) in the world. We have to in order to finance the generosity of our welfare and imigration systems. Despite lots of foes trying, we have not been invaded or occupied for nearly 1000 years now. Before that we were invaded every 5 minutes by most of Europe. British people on the whole, are a polite bunch. We are too nice to complain about things. If we do complain, we are prepared to queue for hours and fill out lots of forms, even though nobody will do anything about our complaint. That's just our way! Despite Britain being the proud custodians of Greenwich Mean Time (actually our clocks went forward to British Summer time last night!), our timing as a nation is not great. I mean, what other country would get itself saddled with the cost of building for and hosting the Olympic Games during a world-wide recession!!!
Good idea, Pavillios. I'm actually 50% Austrian, but I feel like a Norwegian. Some facts about Norway: * Had our golden age 1000 years ago, when we invaded England and were feared by most of Europe (the Viking Era). We then founded both Dublin and York and we also discovered America several decades before Columbus (Leiv Eriksson). Since then we have been owned by Denmark, Sweden and both until 100 years ago. * We usually own the Winter Olympics, despite only having 4,5 mill. inhabitants. * Norway has been proclaimed the best country in the world to live in 5 times in a row (by the UN). This is due to our oil production in the North Sea, which provides us a safe, strong economic foundation and superb welfare sytem. * Sweden is our greatest rival and has been so for the last 400 years. Nowadays we like to go there to shop, since its much cheaper there. * We like to think good of ourselves, but we despise anyone proclaiming it. * We have never lost to Brasil in soccer (1 draw and 2 wins).
I´m from the proud nation of Sweden. The only thing that is to be said about it No wait, we chickened out during WW2, we just hacked the radio lines and sold information between countries . And also, we are the ones who once upon a time were vikings
ye, we were Vikings, but it's only Norwegians and Danish that did discover stuff, all we did was scaring people. >.<
Yeah, we discovered stuff, but Swedish Vikings also travelled a lot. They were called the Rus (that's why the land further east is called Russia today) and travelled as far as Istanbul.

From the hot and steamy rock in the middle of the mediterranean - Malta! For those of you not acquainted with my homeland... The Maltese Islands are a group of small islands in the middles of the mediterranean sea. The three main islands forming the maltese archipelago are Malta, Gozo and Comino. The total number of residents is of about 400,000 people give or take and Malta is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Historically, malta was an important strategic location and therefore we were conquered by many... normans, arabs, knights of saint john, french and british. All this is reflected in our culture, architecture and language. Today, malta is independent and it is a republic. The 2 national languages are maltese and english. We have no GW stores in malta but we do have 2 independent retailers who stock a good range of GW stuff. In malta, the legal driving age is 18 and the legal drinking age is 16. Hope this was informative, Aranigej
