New ( third) paint scheme for my skinks... Skrag brown on the skin evil sunz red on the scales and zandri dust for the crest...

Yes it's just the base colors but I already like it. Might add some purple spots to the crest, cause it seems like all my other skinks have some purple in their crests...
And yes, it comes with blow pipe AND javelin...

Here are my three paint schemes for my skinks. I really like the bright one... The brown one is also cool but the freehand work turned out a real mess... Should have waited for the weekend to do it... College is giving me some hard times at the moment and lack of sleep during the last days made my hands shaking... Shit happens...
I'm really unsure about the grey scheme... It's nice but I don't think it fits the other two. What would you say?

I prefer the middle one, although the brown one´s crest looks great!! It reminds me of butterfly wings :D

You should try and paint a skink in those colors. ;)

I'm thinking with that black stripe dividing the back scales and the smooth bits.
and that fin pattern on the crest.

The more brown/ grey version (male) or the more yellow one (female) I would tend to try both... Maybe also a light green version... So now I have plans for the weekend! ;)

By the way those fish are from south America! Quite fitting, isn't it? Will start looking for more apistogramma species for some inspiration.

are you color blind Tom ?

The big fish is pink, purple, black and yellow, and the little one is pink, black and yellow. :snaphappy:
    (and bright colors at that)

Ok... But the male looks definitely more greyish ... At least on my dumb phone display... ;) Apistogramma cacatuoides Kakadu Zwergbuntbarsch.jpg

    Grey! you need glasses :watching:

I do see a slight grey tinge but very slight you need to squint to see it.

Or a new phone... Looks much different on a PC ...
Now I see yellow on the belly... Brown on the back and head (like washed)... Not considering the effects of the aquarium lights and taking a photo thru 8mm glass and 60liters of water... ;)

I like the fins of this one...
