Blog Ndege's painting and conversion lab - Nuff said!

Here's what I did the last 10days...
Improved the look of my champion (dry brushed in very light green glazed with waywatcher green and added bright belly an *important* red throat)

And such a cool champion needs an appropriate shield! So...

I made this one for him... And that one for the standard bearer

I also made two decisions... First I decided to use the intact body of my astrolith conversion for my temple guard and redo a bsb by using the deformed nail polish remover accident as base for a new conversion... Here the first step

My second decision was to have all my standard bearers in a blueish colour... As I like the idea that they are spawned as special individuals similar to the champions who are all unique but all (are going to) have a red throat...
And I partially striped my saurus warriors and repainted them... More uniform than I used to but still individuals! Next unit will be with spears and grey skin...

I took a picture before washing them with ketchup and dry brushing with some delicious mustard! :P;)

I really like that champion! Has a great deal of character, everything from his gold armor and weapon, to the feathers! Also the color scheme for the saurus himself is inspired, the read throat/underbelly looks fantastic! :vulcan:

Still got a basti and some cold ones in boxes plus 5th edition saurus and the slann... And not to forget the skinks and my flyers...
 
First entry is nearly finished... Just needs some work on the base. Started working on the conversion entry... Need more green stuff...
Third entry will be started soon.

Hey! I thought I would check your painting log out since you've been so nice to check out mine! Really impressive collection you've got here :) It's nice to see your progress through so many models! Plus you have some really awesome conversions here as well. Great job! :)
