AoS NEW *rumor*

I don't know what gw are thinking really. They are so inconsistent with reveals and follow up releases. Tzeentch and KO were revealed Xmas day and up for pre order first week of Jan. I can understand the elves having a build up over a month or so as they are new. We are just a book and terrain could have easily slipped us in this week

Maybe they have more to show us?

... sigh... here's to another 6ish days till we MAYBE get something.

...I see they have another 40k: PA release upcoming. How many armies are left?! Remember watching GMG back when PA was first teased and how he [Ash] thought it was going to be an equivalent of endless spells in 40k. Boy was he off lol

What did we say about the hype guys? I love the unrelenting optimism!

they have at least 2 more books already announced: "saga of da beast" and "engine war" and there must be at least a bit more because stuff like necrons wouldn't be touched by them

Saga of the Beast will undoubtedly be Space Wolves VS Orks, as Space Wolves love their Sagas ;)

Which leaves Custodes, Death Guard, Harlequins, Inquisition and Necrons.

I've noticed that in the most recent White Dwarf there's an article of fluff concerning the possible return of Szarekh the Silent King (the Necrons' long-lost ruler), which will probably be the subject of the next Psychic Awakening supplement after Saga of the Beast and Machine War. It would be great if they did actually give him a miniature, and if they weren't going to bring him back, why would they dedicate the time to putting that article into White Dwarf?

Given that there are number of Inquisitor holomessages featured in that article, I wouldn't be surprised if the opposing side in that supplement was the Inquisition, as Inquisitors are sent to gather intel on this latest development and try to stop the Silent King before he unites the Necron race to eradicate all would-be usurpers!

That would then leave Custodes, Harlequins and Death Guard to enjoy a 3-way punch-up a-la The Greater Good, which might well give Harlequins a much-needed second release for some variety.

in any case they're going to drag this borefest for the rest of the year

I am so hoping for any leaks that I am reading 4chan. /tg
Funnily enough I don't even care about all the racism, sexism, or people insulting each other.
Depends on context I guess. On here I would mind.

Edit:

Others got to it before me :)

2 have been officially announced, Saga of the Beast with Orks and Wolves, and The demon/Knight one.

Assuming there will be a third with Necrons + the rest.

meh, some of their nonsense can be entertaining at times. Especially if you can avoid the vilest bits.

I definitely like warcry a lot more now, all the good factions have arrived. I think all the chaos warbands released for warcry are crap. With the exception of the 2 that actually came in the starter set.
I have to ask why you think so little of the Warcry-specific warbands.

I specifically ask because of my own experience as a Corvus Cabal player. Whilst they're a warband not at all suited to win a stand-up fight with most other warbands, and god forbid I play on another arena set-up with them, those aren't circumstances they should be in anyway. On top of that, they have among the best spear-wielding minions in Warcry (4 attacks at 2" range is more significant than most people realize, even at S3), and their abilities lend themselves well to playing a lot more vertically than most other warbands.

I've also seen scary things come out of Cypher Lords, who also excel at being a very mobile warband, albeit of the wuxia "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" variety.

It really comes down to how well the warband fits your playstyle. Corvus Cabal and Cypher Lords are both warbands that require a lot of finesse to be used effectively, in contrast to the brutes of the Iron Golems or the poison-loving Splintered Fang.
