Kholek’s been written out of canon, but if he was that’d be a cool new model for Beastmen (as Dragon Ogres have finally been returned to Beastmen)
in fairness, there's more powerfull characters who've either started to be revived, especially for chaos heroes they can just say the gods plucked their soul out of thin air and gave them a new body. That or just give us his great grandson like with bugsman. Plenty of ways to reintroduce & reinvent old characters.
Except that it is still known that krakenrock the black is still alive id hazard a guess since he is immortal and well they struck a deal with the God of change i thought.(could be wrong but starved of interaction so ill take what I get)

GW must have something against lizards even vamps are getting new AOS models and id argue there range is already pretty.
My guess is we will have new models, when GW releases Old World game. I'm sure, that there will be a new Lizardmen models, that we can use in AoS.
huh i realy like the heavy armor look. so many heroes go into battle with no protection, this makes more sence
Granted, some of those factions initially had a very limited selection of units available to them. Up until this announcement, Lumineth Realmlords had the austere luxury of being able to choose from at most 5 non-hero units and 3-4 non-unique heroes, while Soulblight (as a subset of Legions of Nagash) was practically unplayable as its own army outside of a blood knight list.
