AoS NEW *rumor*

I wouldn't bet on saurus, they said in the lore that saurus spawning pools were broken.

Perhaps a kroxygor ?

That was just a specific starhost.

Koatl's Claw have working spawning pools. The faction is supposed to be almost entirely comprised of Saurus, which are produced so quickly that they don't develop properly and emerge as bloodthirsty monsters.

You know, I can see your point. The War Cry and Underworlds models are typically more unique and detailed. Maybe that means these two chameleon skinks are just "grunts" and the fancier models are yet to come?

Starblood Stalkers just got pulled from the underworlds section of the online store. Should be popping back up, discounted and without the cards. Bit too expensive to field as generic skinks, but I do think that Otapatl is my favorite sculpt in the GW line. Would pick it up just for him.

They're listed as pre-oders under the AoS section now, alongside some other underworld warbands.

O neat, a full blown chameleon unit, some new dinosaurs & some Tzeentch mortals that aren't just Kairic acolytes.
If only this were part of a bigger update.

I generally like most of the Chameleon Skink sculpts. My main gripe is that I think the Tzeentch models look kind of blah. I can't see any of my buddies jumping in to share this box because of how cool the other faction looks. Sadly, I may end up missing out on plastic Chamos, unless GW releases them separate from the boxed set eventually.

I want the tzeentch stuff (and the chameleons as well :p)

The common conception on internet seems to be a high interest in the Tzeentch-band as far as I can tell. If you are up for it I think there will be some opportunities to grab some second hand lizards :)

Very odd, I personally agree with @Just A Skink that the Tzeentchian warband is probably the blandest, least interesting Warcry warband to date (apart from the serpentine bird creature that looks like a baby Coatl). The only thing they have going for them is that they are supposed to be associated with jade, and there isn't even that much jade to them.

But then, there are a fair few Warhammer players out there with strange tastes.

I think @Canas posted this in another thread, but here is a good group pic of the new Seraphon models. In the promo video, the Chamo with the neck frill has an option for blowpipe as well. Unless it was just a hand & blowpipe swapped from another model?

I have a hunch the the whole unit can be built as vanilla chamo skinks, but there will be an upgrade sprue in the box. If not, I think there is a chance we might be getting some new options for AoS.

Subtle hints that this is part of a larger update...

That, or there are a several additional options that we have yet to see.

It's unlikely that would be part of this warband, that's definitely a Saurus spear.

Can't be the Oldblood on Carnosaur as that is already a more recent kit, and Temple Guard don't have spears, so it must be either a new Saurus Warrior or Saurus Cavalry kit. Perhaps both.

Honestly, could just be an alternative spear for the chameleon leader. He already has a significantly fancier spear than skinks usually get.

Though he does appear to be holding two javalins, so I guess it would fit better with another model. Do warcry warbands usually get load-out options? Even just aesthetic ones?

Yup, the warcry/killteam box sets come with two squads balanced to play against each other, but you can customize your squad by swapping out models with different loadouts. The box sets tend to have some additional unique options though.

Right, thought warcry just came with a bunch of predefined models and you just choose between the models, not between specific load-outs for specific models. Ah well, then it might still work for the chameleons.
