I realise that killing of the Slann might irk some WFB purists, but I'm not entirely opposed to this decision. I think there would be something really cool about seeing the humble Skinks rise above their traditional role as underlings to lead the Lizardmen into a new era (one that is based in reality rather than being remembered into stardust or... something...).

I like the Slann, but if they have to be phased out to make way for newly imagined Seraphon units them I'm all for it.

they would have to fix our army so that it doesn't require a slann to function and our lore so that it doesn't need a slann to function. and to be honest i would hate the loss of the slann with all our named heros dead there would be no one to replase them as key leaders they would have to make major changes to skinks to make them a good replacement

Actually, Kroq Gar survived the end times I believe, as he made it to one of Kroak’s bubbles when he phased out chunks of Lustria. And in the recent story, that one skink activates the spawning pools early so now we have some actual flesh and blood lizards being born, albeit with some feral side effects due to the skink activating the pools early and without permission. In the recent story we see that inside the Exodus Engines, there are biospheres with Lustria jungle, it’s probably a fair guess that that was what Kroak saved

I’d be surprised if we had new Slann, as from the recent stories it sounds like the Slann are dying off.

. . . sacrifices must be made, and they have done all they can, the Slann seem to have aged more and more and even Kroak fought even as a mummy frog. I think they more than deserve their rest.

The disturbing thing (to me) is how easily and quickly a future that is fouler, sadder, uglier, and worsened in every way is anyone’s first thought.

It does not matter if it is burbling up from the fanbase or being drizzled down from corporate level at Gains Worship.

it's not like GW has done a lot to elevate fears when there is so little to talk about with a faction due to neglect moral will steadily drop overtime the resent leagasy scares don't help.

that sead i don't put any stock in this one the slann are to integral to our army to drop them. i just hope we get some news (good or bad) to chew on 4 years is a long time to wait.

Kroq Gars fait is currently unknown but last we saw him he was dieing from poison i would be siked if he was still around but with no news from him for so long and them reworking his model i think he wen't the way of derthu.

i like the story your referencing i hope they run with it and we get living dinos again but until we have more than that one short it might just we a GW writer not knowing what there righting about it wouldn't be the first time. lets hope the next Battle tome confirms this.

Also the last Grimlock died in the final battle of the end times and kroq-gar merged with his special gauntlet and ascended into godhood. So he’s around somewhere.

Also got some kick ass albino kroxigor that cannot be killed in the ruins of lustria somewhere that I hope they finally make a model of.

i did't know about Kroq gars god hood where is that from?

ah yes nakai the wanderer he is really cool and what i based my profile on i didn't know he lived thru getting a moon droped on him but GM has done werder things so i would love to see him again as you can probably tell he is my favoret.

Depends how being a god is defined. There were gods in the old world as well, and so far as I know, none of those had fused with a wind of magic.

Maybe Kroq-Gar is just chilling somewhere enjoying a well deserved holiday, before getting back to work on a 'cloned' Grymloq and beating daemon behinds like its nothing

i haven't been looking so i don't know (give me a few days ill get back to you) but it is implied. each wind has only one so far and i think if you could shair the godhood the wind provided sigmar would have. or Morathy would have rangled it out of her son by now.
