meh, too metal-worky. Saurus weapons tend to be fairly basic obsidian weapons with only 1 effective side. Especially the spike on top isn't something you really see on our weapons.View attachment 59872
This looks a lot like a saurus warrior weapon..
I don't think it does imo, it's pretty metallic and honestly seems more like an Ogre or Greenskin weapon.View attachment 59872

it's a plesent thought but i have my hopes firmly buried until we have further proof.BoLS is not ... the classiest site out there, but it is one of the few I can access at work. Here is their lizardy take on the Rumor Engine:
https://www.belloflostsouls.net/2019/09/gw-rumor-engine-in-da-club.html
And I have to agree generally with what they say. The work done on the weapon head is too detailed, purposeful and artistic to generally belong with Orruks, Gobbos or Ogors (the latest Ogors examples being pieces of torn metal riveted onto a dull sword).
While it is far from a sure thing (DAMN YOU SPACE MARINE SALAMANDERS) i would put this club solidly in the "Plausible" if not "Likely" category. Also remember, with new sculpts we are likely to see subtle shifts in the design aesthetic compared to what we are used to. It will remind us, and fit in with old-world aesthetics, but be new and subtly different.
none so far. Seems a bit large for them. Though I guess it could work depending on how zoomed in it is I guess. My bet is its a cities model... or am I retarded and there are zero new models for cities?
it definatly means ward saves i think the stone horn is fine becouse that reduses the damage stat not negat it. and ya bring it on is going to cause problems ive been trying to find a good counter but if we have one i don't see it it makes screens useless our skinks can't withdraw our salamanders and razors are going to have to charge to there death if they are in range to fire.sigh its just going to be another tuff match upthey're interesting.
Though I see a couple of issues:
Strength of purpose - what does it mean that any ability that negates damage doesn't work? Do ward saves not work? Stuff like the stonehorn?
Bring it on - O my god is this going to be overpowered. Even ignoring the potential mayhem this causes with respect to positioning. Just the mere fact that your entire backline is constantly going to try and charge in is a terrible situation to be in. Squishy supporting units like Skink priests will be constantly running to their deaths if you don't position perfectly. There better be some massive trade-off(s) for this ability.
My immediate thought was to suggest throwing a steg or two with sunfire throwers at them, so long as you remember to LoSaT them out of there in your next hero phase if you can.it definatly means ward saves i think the stone horn is fine becouse that reduses the damage stat not negat it. and ya bring it on is going to cause problems ive been trying to find a good counter but if we have one i don't see it it makes screens useless our skinks can't withdraw our salamanders and razors are going to have to charge to there death if they are in range to fire.sigh its just going to be another tuff match up
well if he lives that long remember the intire army gets bonuses to kill monsters so they counter our big gunsMy immediate thought was to suggest throwing a steg or two with sunfire throwers at them, so long as you remember to LoSaT them out of there in your next hero phase if you can.
Like I said, don't send them in there alone. This is where having a skink screen would be useful, actually, since sure, you're still obliged to charge with both units, but by having even two minimum-sized skink units flanking both sides of the steg you can limit the effectiveness of that ability. Even more when you add buffs to the steg on top of that.well if he lives that long remember the intire army gets bonuses to kill monsters so they counter our big guns
"Strength of Purpose" will be a bit rough on the Bastiladon, too. :/they're interesting.
