Will they?
mine is an honest question: i don't doubt T9A will suffer heavily, but KoW is a different system.
People that didn't followed GW into AoS, went mostly toward T9A (i believe), which was the legacy of 8th.
KoW got a different set of rules... i suppose that actual KoW players love that system, otherwise they would play T9A, so the coming od the Old World should have a marginal impact on them.
IF TOW is a faithful successor to WFB, I think both KoW and T9A will suffer. There is no doubt that Kings of War benefited greatly from the death of WFB, as the largest competitor in the market was removed. They may have different rule sets but they are the same type of game, vying for the same player base. I liken it to you opening a brick and mortar store and Amazon rolls around selling similar products. Your store and amazon have different "rule sets", but they are going to carve a significant chunk out of your business. We can already see the early signs of it, as the recent KoW 3rd edition launch has been completely overshadowed by a couple of memes released by GW about the Old World. Nobody wants competition, especially not the return of the industry leader when it comes to mass battle wargames.
