Blog Paint & Kitbashes (2023) with Suds

Working on some skinks! Got 20 at a good point so far, these are Tzunki themed as well, though a little different from my Scar Vet. Really do love how they look next to the Basti, I'm beginning to understand the joy of completed units only took me 4 years haha.

 

A little staff work inbetween study sessions. Narratively the staff is to depict Tepok, the feathered Serpent. More to go but enjoying it so far!

 

Little update on this post! I think i might be done with the front of the staff? Got studying to do, but debating if I keep as is or apply a wash or two... we'll see.

Thank you! This side came out real well I think. Debating the shaft, might go a slate color or dark grey

 

I love the colorscheme on these Skinks. Great swampy water colors.

Beginning with my Slann, because Ive had an idea in my headcanon for awhile and this kit makes it possible - my Slann holding a rival Slanns head, because Seraphon don't always see eye to eye.

Speculation as to why Temple Lord Ka'Rapixca holds the (golden?) Head of a Starborne Slann has hummed through the skink populations for aeons, but only the Oracles know the truth.

Some Star Seers theorize that the Great Plan called for the doom of one Slann to prevent a great catastrophe from happening. Other rumors swirl among the simpler skinks as well saying one Slann argued that Sotek was the superior serpent, while the other argued Tepok was the superior serpent; both arguing that one Serpent would usher in a new Era of Scales, Balance, and vengeance.

Regardless of the reason, it caused a great civil war and the end of a Star Host during the aeons that all Seraphon drifted through the black.

My Seraphon are part of the Thunder Lizard Constellation, however they settled in Ghyran as opposed to Chamon like so many other Thunder Lizard hosts.

Building a narrative that puts my Temple City capital as a main hub for Dawnbringer Crusades to stop at during their long journies into Ghyran. Whether it be to camp outside the Temple City for added security, hire saurian escorts, trade, etc - my Temple City supplies it. So, slowly going that direction and touching on the turbulent relationship between Seraphon and Sylvaneth along with it

The skull/artifact in his left hand is part of the kit, right?
Is it a separate part or part of the hand holding it?

The artifact comes in 2 pieces, one in the hand thst has a crystal inside, and the second which closes it up to make a full skill.

You could carve it off the hand though if you used another arm bit instead (like the staff or whatever)

Thank you! I envision Spawns of Topek to be kinda colorful Tzunki too - but to a lesser degree - I was influnced by lily pads and water moss (or whatever) that's really green

Compared to a skink also

Scales (wip) - Chaos Black + Xereus Purple + Lilac + Emperors children pink > Wash with Coelia Greenshade first, when almost dried add Druchii Purple also

May change the torso? Gonna try a few diff ones
