Blog Painting of Renown! (Just kidding... but this is my blog)

Excellent work.

Reminds me I need to schedule time to do my demon Prince conversion.

On another note, are you looking forward to the horns of hashut warband?

Thanks!

Ooooh! Sounds interesting. I'd like to see it (and will since I get updates on your blog).

Not really my thing to be honest. I'm 8th Edition through and through and these models could only be used as WoC troops.

Nice models though, especially the Centaur-like one.

Okay, so finished undercoating the armour pieces.

My wife donated a chain (for armour connections, based on advice from @Explodingzeb thanks bud!)

And I drilled/scraped a hole for a magnet on his hand where the flails are going to go, as I can already see that they will constantly be breaking off so I'm gonna magnetize the piece so I can store it carefully

Maybe it is the greenstuff in between panels, but it really reminds me of Fallout 4 (and 76) supermutants :)

Did more green stuff and was putting chains on the leg-armour of the Giant last night while pondering what I was going to do with the flail on his hands. The magnet thing was not working out and despite working over the piece, I wasn't happy with it.

Then it hit me. The only reason I wanted the magnetizing thing is to avoid the flails constantly breaking off. I was sitting there with the metal necklace pieces and I realized this was the simple solution.

So I've done the flails and the chains on the leg pieces. I need to work them over a bit, probably with watered down black paint, to make them less shiny.

Great idea with using the necklace chain for the flails, that will work nicely. If you have Nuln Oil wash that should kill some of the shine too

I would say thinned down black paint should work, but Nuln Oil is a solid tool to have in your arsenal anyway so worth it to pick some up if you don't have it!

Yeah, I thought I had some and was trying to use it a few nights ago. So well worth having.

Can't wait to see it painted!
Do you have some plan for the plate armor?

Grazie signore!

So, I'm going to dry-brush the majority Hashut Copper, but keep in enough black to make it look dark and sinister, rather than shining and bright.

Then for the runes, I'm going to select my most reddish gold color and probably mix in a little bit more orange and then use this to dry brush the runes to make them stand out a bit. The chains I think I will leave as they are.

Almost done! :D It's been a fun project.

I think I'm gonna call this guy a done now as I want to move on to other projects (and I will hardly ever use this guy as he is a sub-par list choice).

Ah well. I think I like what I've done with him. (Although I will get my friend to do better photos at some point soon and I'll share those.)

Most impressive Siege Giant! I particularly like how you've managed to get the chains to dry in a pose that fits the Giant swinging them down on an unfortunate foe.

I personally wouldn't let him being a 'sub-par' choice dissuade you from using such a great conversion in your games, because surely the game's all about having fun, and a Giant will certainly bring some fun shenanigans to your army list.

Very nice work @Lizards of Renown . I'm impressed by how well this turned out!

Until you realize that a Siege Giant costs nearly as much as a K'daai Destroyer and they both come out of rare!

Careful @Lizards of Renown , this sounds like a Beastman trap. ;)
