Garutis rises again from another nap. He sees a port, if it can be called that. Garutis looks and asks around if anyone is willing to spend a night in the town

The fact that someone would allow Garutis to join them, and even more shockingly they seemed pleased to have Garutis join them.

Though they did not know the untimely fate of the ships cat, Garutis decided to keep that part quiet

Drew decides to go with Izema and Garutis in order to get to know his companions more. And whats a better way to get to know someone than over a drink in a bar? Drew looks at Tarkaz and raises an eyebrow, "you coming?"

Point of note: The ship did not, in fact, have a cat. I don't know what Garutis ate, but if it was cat-sized and fuzzy, you might want to see a doctor. R.O.U.S.'s are a possibility on spelljammer ships. Seriously, it was probably a ginormous rat.

Drakk, most of the 'variety of meats' on that platter are different ways to serve mutton (sheep). Rack of lamb, brazed mutton, mutton brisket, mutton bacon, that sort of thing. Seriously, these kobolds love mutton. If there's a way to cook it, they probably know of it, and YES, that includes something akin to haggis.

Setting out from the ship, Tarkaz, Drew, Izema, and Garutis set forth (cautiously) into town. Drakk was a blur rushing off towards what looks like a marketplace in the distance, but from here you're pretty sure it is closing down for the evening. Drinks should be a little easier to find. Do you want a inn with a taproom, an inn with food and a taproom, or just a bar?

Garutis feels uncomfortable in this weird city.

Looking around Garutis sees plenty of things to eat, little children, peoples animals. Garutis feels confident that they would find food.

    Right.

It doesn't take the four of you long to find a suitable establishment. With a sign written in both Draconic and Trader's Tongue, The Adventurer's Rest obviously caters to those not native to the planet. This has several side benefits. First off, the menu is written in languages you understand. Second, catering to off-worlders means they have a selection of drinks from across the sphere on hand for various prices. Third, catering for adventurers means that you honestly don't stand out in this place. In addition to the races you four bring, the tavern has dwarves, the halflings from the ship, another kind of lizardkin you don't recognize, something you think is a half-dragon, three different kinds of elves, a creature that you're pretty certain is a living plant of some kind, and a variety of goblinoids. Seek is here as well, and waves you over to a large table the crew claimed in the corner of the tavern.

As you join them, the Vanara happily greets you and slides a crude menu your way. It is short and written in several languages, including Draconic, Trader's Tongue, something you're fairly certain is some kind of goblinoid tongue, and dwarvish. Rooms are available (four beds to a room, so one room will fit all four of you for 1 gp total). Food comes in three "adventurer" categories: Cheap (1 sp each - you saw a few people in the room eating that as you came in, looks like some kind of stew), Good (1 gp each - several patrons are eating this; looks like mutton-bacon-wrapped roast mutton with a variety of vegetables and mashed potatoes - Seek says that if you want to go in as a group, they'll bring you a whole roast sheep for 5 gp), and Fancy (if you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it; nobody in the room is eating this currently).

Drinks come in a wide variety. Bottle of wine (red or white): Cheap 1 sp, good 1 gp, expensive 10 gp. Elven wine: 20 gp (Seek says not to buy that, elven wine is frankly [some word none of you know]). Local beer: 2 tankards for 1 sp. GOOD local beer: 1 tankard for 5 sp (2 for 1 gp). Mead: Tankard is 1 gp (hard to get here). Liquor: varies, ask me in discord and I'll tell you.

Now, since this is a good point for this kind of thing, we're taking a BRIEF break from the storyline for an announcement: You have gone to space. You have seen things you did not think possible. It was scary, surprising, and (for some) the thrill of a lifetime.

Everyone gains a level! [insert appropriate music here] Please update your characters accordingly in the next few days as you have time. You'll be in town for a week, so you have time to do this. Remember that attaining level 4 DOES give you a PERMANENT +1 to any ONE ability score in addition to anything your class gives you.

Garutis sees the alcohol, and food. He bellows

“FUD, want, now!” He drops 7 gold pieces and points to various meats and drinks.
“5 peckes of guld” says garutis, attempting to pay for the food.

Drew smiles at Garutis and says to the waiter, "My big friend and I will have the good beer please." After the waiter leaves, Drew turns to Izema and ponders his question. "Mercenary work." was all Drew said.

Ohmen had comfortably merged into the background having discarded his halfling appearance to instead watch and wait just like his bird above in a higher degree of comfort. Even the voices within dared to silence themselves in order for his mind to soak in the words which both the captain and kobolds said. He however when the time came did not follow the others who were undoubtedly overzealous in their approach toward this land completely and utterly foreign to them. None would, Or Should for that matter, be trusted, Ohmen himself included.

Standing motionless he waits for the others to first take their gold before transitioning into slow and methodical action. Having taken in his first ‘True’ breaths of this cold, strange air Ohmen proceeds to draw out one hand toward the captain. His clutched hand slowly uncurling into an open palm the captain could feel two, No… four eyes burning into her skull. It was at this point she would indeed consider if she did indeed regret inviting such a ‘Haunting’ individual to her ‘Own’ Ship.

With a newfound silence laying over the ship like a suffocating blanket, the excitement of the others having been drained from it as they left the sounds of Coin clinging against the rusted, battered iron gauntlets which clung tight to his hand. Looming over the captain Ohmen’s slender hight only becomes more apparent as he speaks with a deep, twisted voice. His singular, solemn word clearly taking advantage of the quieter surroundings “Thanks.”

Having received his coin and a handful of strange glances He proceeds to flick one into the air releasing a metallic ring. Spinning through the air the golden coin gleams with greed, its colour changed and mutated by the moon’s alien light.

Suddenly a blur of darkened feathers slits through the air as if a knife through flesh. Soaring by Wisdom swoops past, retrieving the ‘Shiny’ within her mouth before she hops forward, struggling to get the already hard to decipher words out with the added difficulty of having a coin within one's mouth “T-T-ThAnk Y-YoU”

Moving on with a swift, yet slow and gradual movement Ohmen disappears below deck, returning minutes later, Still in original form… It would be best he did not change to a Kobold as of just yet.

Above deck, Ohmen now makes way off the ship and onto the solid stone of the moon itself for the first time. Rather than spend his cash, time and coin on temporarity and trivial matters he would instead set out in a rather opposing direction from the group. He would first suss out this so-called ‘City’ and learn of it, but more importantly, learn of its peoples.

He would first head to the market despite its closing state, later would come buildings of prominence lest one such as himself would waste time like so many others.

In this specific case, Severe insomnia could hold the potential in being both a blessing and a curse.

“Let us Seek, Wisdom. Let us Seek knowledge.”

Whispering first to himself, then to Wisdom he sets off, sticking to the central routes until more accustomed to this place. Meanwhile, Wisdom now soars away effortlessly, making good use of the planets lacking gravity to fly with both even greater speed and grace. She would indeed aid Ohmen in his pursuit, Taking an areal view of the city and its places of power, its many alleyways and side streets engraved into her mind with but a glance. Whilst Raven above Ohmen below weaved through the cities architecture, his eyes and ears however turned not to them but rather to the cities populous itself.

Tarkaz looked shocked at the captain, "I...thank you! I did not expect such a payment." Smiling to her he turned snd went below deck before heading out, he opened his locker and took his bag iut to where his small fortune of gold was kept, all 400g pieces. Knwoing 15g pieces was a substantial amount he also knew he was wanting to look and buy a few things, taking an extra 60 gold coins out (340g left in bag) Tarkaz locked the bag back up and made his way into town.

Hearing Izema call out to him he says he will catch up with thek to the Tavern, Tarkaz was beyond curious about this foriegn place. Kolbolds could not help but stare at him, some in curiosity, some had worried looks others anger...but he cared not, he just smiled back and gave a large minotaur wave. He didnt want any trouble and tried to look as non threatening as he towered all around him.

Coming to a row of shops he peered in, one was a sort of apothecary, another a butcher, and yet another some sort of exotic animal seller.

He went into the apothecary shop first, wondering what solutions, potions or other goods they might have, specifically anything he could coat his crossbow bolt in to make them more deadly, posions and the like. On his mind he also had the thought to buy a lot of mutton and other meat from the butcher...but most of all he wanted to see what little exotic pet he might find. He had once a small desert cat that had died years ago, he wanted another small companion to share the time on the ship with.

Walking into the Apothecary he smiles and hopes he isnt told to leave...

Drew, Izema, and Garutis soon find themselves confronted by food! Having plunked his coins down on the table, Garutis finds himself with an entire roast sheep for his very own!

...and when I say an entire roast sheep, I mean an entire roast sheep, head and all! No wool though, but still, sheep. Very tasty sheep! The tavern wench puts a second sheep between Izema and Drew before plunking tankards of drink before all three. The sheep is quite tasty, juicy and succulent, wrapped in strips of sweet, thick, peppered bacon. Kobold beer is surprisingly tasty, amber-toned with a nice thick, foamy head and a rich body. You happily tuck into food and drink while chatting...

Tarkaz, you're a little surprised to see a familiar face at the Apothecary! Kia the kenku is there as well! Deep in conversation with the kobold shopkeep, it looked like the avian was in the process of buying and selling different herbs and spices from his own stash! As you enter, the kobold smiles at you and notes that you have an hour before closing time, so feel free to browse while he and the kenku finish their haggling.

Tarkaz smiles and thanks the Kobold and begins to look around looking at different herbs and remedies and browses other shelves full of books for cooking up various things.

When Kia and the shop keeper were done Tarkaz would ask the Kobold about poisons to apply to his bolts and other elixirs to allow him to stay up for longer periods. Soon he came to a shelf that had skulls and a bone X through it, "this must be what im looking for?" He says to himself while waiting patiently

Garutis sets to devouring the sheep. In 2 hours, nothing but bones remain of the animal. Garutis looks over, burps, and looks around, waiting patiently for the other party members.

Tarkaz: Shaking his head, the kobold calmly tells you that he isn't not permitted to sell general poisons to anyone. Specific toxins, yes, but not generalist. He has one that causes drowsiness, one that will stun opponents with human blood (humans, half-elves, half-orcs), one that will do the same for those with elven blood (he says this in hushed tones), and one that will stun opponents with goblinoid blood (goblins, orcs, half-orcs, hobgoblins, bugbears). You note that none of those work on lizard-kin or dragon-kin. He also has an insect-specific toxin that causes extra damage to those, and a plant-specific toxin that causes extra damage.

As for something to help you stay up longer, he sells you a bag of special tea leaves for 1 gp. One cup will allow you to stay awake for up to 48 hours, but you will have to sleep for 12 hours afterwards.

Ohmen: Wandering the streets of the kobold town is an exercise in futility. While there are lots of kobolds to observe, you don't speak the language! During the course of several hours, you start to pick up the basics of Draconic (giving you access to the language in a way that makes more sense than just learning it instantly would) as well as a few other things.

Kobolds in town are almost always rust-colored. A few, however, have a kind of shimmery effect to their scales, and one that you saw has almost muted rainbow-color scales with that shimmer. Rust colored kobolds defer slightly to shimmery ones, and they all defer to the rainbow kobolds. All kobolds dress in fairly normal manner, so that this:
Would not look out of place on a mage. Heck, even the scale color is almost perfect for most of the inhabitants.

Most of the kobolds here in Port Admon are fairly cheerful and pleasant, but they do look a little warily at non-kobolds. There are areas (like the underground sections) that non-kobolds aren't allowed in, but there are tunnels running from here to other towns, and non-kobolds are allowed to use those tunnels. The market is mostly kobolds, but portable stalls are abundant, and many of the owners of those stalls are non-kobolds. The majority of those traders head towards the docks with their packed-up stalls when the day is done, making you suspect they're merchants from one off-planet ship or another.
