Terradons are, for reasons unknown to me, impossible to paint in some sort of unique color. It always goes super wrong. So I've decided to go with the regular green color on the mounts and skinks will be purple/pink-ish.

I have a bunch of cold-one riders on Dark Elf Cold Ones. The steeds are just so much better than the ones in the Lizardmen CO kit. I use the old metal riders, and they fit very well on the Dark Elf COs if you shave down the font and back of the saddles.

I see that you are using the plastic models from the current kit, and that they don't fit perfectly--you have had to put on a sort of "saddle blanket" to fill the gaps. And that's where my criticism lies -- the green stuff just looks like a gap-filling blob. You haven't squared it off or given it any real defined shape. Looks out of place as a result. You could use a hobby knife and clean this up pretty easily.

I've assembled the trog and primed it. Now I'm waiting for new brushes from GW along with some new toys :3

I've also tried making some temple tiles on my trog base. All things considered? It looks alright.

Pictures.. <.< they're coming XD I'll try and fix some for today. The troglodon model is finished. Still need the Oracle though. I'll also soon be painting more terradons and a salamander.

I think I'll paint the beasts first and then all the skinks at once.

So it's not that great, however this is my first try and I basically had no tools to do it with. I used what I had nearby which was a spare part from the trogolodon, more specific a part of it's tail. Lol.

I'll be making more of these in the future so it should get better. I just need to proper tools <.<



The actual trog was a hit and miss for me. I had problems getting the colors right to in the end I couldn't be bothered so I gave some part that were previously pale a purple wash. It went alright-ish, but unfortunately washing large pieces are quite hard so it can be seen. Overall it'll look alright once on the board. I'm happy with the color though.

I was hard getting a proper Picture of it.

Thanks. I think the paint job is "okay", but I really dig the colors so that definitely makes it a worth while effort :)

Uhm.. So I'm kinda slow at uploading the pictures to the forum lol. I have started painting on my OB who'll be put on one of my converted COs. His scales will be red, skin pale and his armour dark. I've named him my Dark Knight. Black Knights are mostly evil and while he isn't evil I want my opponents to remember him. Some people give their characters a name and I made my sort of "unique". If that makes sense.

I still need to finish his weapon and other small bits on him. I'll then have to drill a hole in him to make way for a magnet so I can switch between the carno and CO without too much hassle.
The COstill need some work to be done though. I might be done with most of that today. However I only got until tonight because of Gamescom conference later and I'll be playing Playstation with a friend.

We'll be playing colonial marines.......

I like the purple on the mobile flame cannon. it's agressive enough of a colour. nice choice.

I also am a fan on the red on pink colours of the Kroq-gar.

I have to ask, though, why did you put Kroq-gar on the cold one? Why not convert a halberd or a great weapon on him(to make him an oldblood instead of named Kroq-gar)?

Tbh I just choose something. I had to kit out 4 characters so this was what he ended up with, however I just remembered that I have made a unit of ripperdactyls so I should still have 3 usable rocks from the Terradon kit that I can use. Then I'll just have to find something interesting for this OB but I have something in mind.

Don't worry the weapon will change.

I'm hoping that I can be done with him tonight.

The thing that gets me is the mechanical arm (specific to kroq-gar) and the fancy spear end (could change the speartip of you wanted)

I didn't pick his arm because of Kroq Gar.

Ah, well for me the arm belongs to Kroq-gar alone. It'd be like putting Gor-Rok on a carnosaur and saying it's not gor-rok. It breaks my OCD haha
