Very, very cool! I like how you did the Manticore's skin, like a night sky. Also, the blending is great! Not sure if I like the swords, though. Are they actually on fire or metal that is red hot? They kinda jump out because all the other shading is more subtle. Or is it just because the colours are so much brighter on the sword? Anyway, I think that in this case, less could be more and more natural metal would look better.

This was a practice at trying to create a false focus point.

The idea behind the swords was to trick the viewer into focusing on them and therefore missing details elsewhere, they are in your face bright which is exaggerated by the lords dark armour, the skin on the manticore is very lightly highlighted to try and hid the stars, the base is also left quite bare to keep your focus on the swords, I think it works.

The wings on that manticore are gorgeous! I really like the idea of the night sky style skin! Really quite a good looking model! Having that false focal point is a good idea, but I still really like the look of those swords!

This looks so cool! Gorgeous paint job! And the addition of the bow is a subtle but unique touch! Looks incredible!

That Steggy looks slick! Great shading on the skin tones. Awesome job on the base too. :)

How long did it take you to paint (not counting assembling, cleaning mold lines, etc.)?

I did the Steggy months ago but started the howdah and skinks last monday so I would guess around 20hrs total, I finished my Sunfire thrower one last night that took a bit longer around 25hrs

Great job! Do you give workshops? ;)
And I also wondering:

I guess quite some time, when I see how long I take for one skink priest. ;):D:p

Too be quite honest I wish it took me longer!

I'm doing a scenery walk through (with tips I learnt at warhammer world), on with that now so should post that up next week hopefully.

Now I have the new battletome my skinks are getting a make over.
