Blog Return of the Ancient Painter: Troggoths added

I think it's sharp on the inner sides of the blades, too. So if you push it against lets say a goblins throat the head will pop off like the cork of a champaign bottle. ;)

Very nice glow effects on the BSB, :D
and is that just standard static grass on the
chameleons base or is that something different ?
Cause it's rather difficult to get it to stand up decently.

Just standard flock put applied using a "flock box" basically it uses static electricity to lift the flock, warning it goes everywhere!

ahhh.... I was thinking it was something like that, or perhaps grass tufts...

I like the wyes on the snakes on his astrolith! Look like rubies! Quite an amazing feat on this fellow altogether! And the vibrant colours of those chameleons look great! There's a lot of subtlety to your painting that has me catching something new each time I check out the pictures!

I really wish I was better at gems although the more I do them the better they look, when I look at my models I always think they have a scruffy painted style no matter how much I try I cannot change my style of painting I think I need to slow it right down but then I get impatient grrrr.

Pretty slick work as always. Great work with the static grass... my static grass always turns out poorly!

Those two may be my two favourite lizardmen units and you did really well capturing their essence. I especialy like the paint job on the sunblood's shield!

The shield is really first class! Also the mace! Brilliant!

Thanks guys, the shield was painted black first then Drybrushed Incubi darkness then drybrushed randomly with stegadon green then pallid wych white with a fine detal brush and quickly and softly stroke the shield in random directions, then glaze randomly with biel tan green

That Sunblood is killer! The blue and purple looks so awesome! And the weapon and shield look amazing! Thanks for the paint tip on that! Going to have to try that out! The eternity warden looks like a bad ass! Once again the paint schemes are brilliant!

Really amazing job!
I particularly like your Sunblood: the shield is beautiful, and I'm really impressed by your ability.
Wow!

Trick with the shield don't be structured with the lines, just be totally random and thanks for the nice comments.
