Blog Return of the Ancient Painter: Troggoths added

I can barely believe that it started off as mere soft drink cups. If I hadn't seen the work in progress pictures I would deny it. Awesome work. Looks like you're leading your contest... but it's still very close and too early to call. For the record, you got 1 of my 2 votes.

Thanks, it was a big learning curve and biggest thing I learnt was HOT GLUE BURNS!!!!

Small note I should finish my 2 Korgorath next week and I have been working on Valkia the Bloody so I might have her finished this week. :D

Pictures are so dark, it's very hard for me to see any details. The skin colours look nice, I especially like the orange one.

I love Valkia's model, especially her wings. I wish I had them for my Khorne herald.

Still can't decide if I like the Korgoroth's model however.

Do you think there's much of a change in aesthetics between AoS and 8th?

Great work. Valkia is an awesome model and that is definitely a Khorne approved base. Did you put that base together yourself or did you get it from somewhere?

Just a quick update,

I'm currently working on the new Slaughterpriest and Skullgrinder models should be done early next week and then I'm doing a kitbashed Chaos sorcerer and Chaos lord on Manticore.

I can't stand Chaos, but lookin' awesome dude! The Valkia model is my favorite. And I totally agree with what was said about the skin on your Korgorath model. It makes his detail stand out so much more! :spiderman:

Cheers, I have finished the Slaughterpriest and Skullgrinder and almost finished my Goretide Khorgos Khul should have pics up this week and I don't usually say this but they are the best models I have ever painted, they just have so much drama.

I'm looking into a airbrush as well!

Wow, if I could bring myself to bite the bullet and purchase an airbrush and all of the accessories, I'd totally do it! That is going to elevate your painting to a whole 'nother level! :cigar:
