Blog Ritual's Army - Lizard on Lizard Action (For the Waaaaagh!)

I had a friend who used to work in the army and still lived at his parent´s, so whenever I saw him he always had new models. I remember when the fireslayers came out he got an insane amount of models

Ps: So is this what you´re doing for the tale of warlords? :smug: And what do those other 3 boxes contain? :D:p

Missed the PS!

It's a Hurricanum, Luminark, and Wizard griffon... All the pews.

Been a while since I updated, the move has kept me busy and I am currently internetless at the house due to BT needing to do external cabling somewhere, and it's a signal black hole.

Here's a rough update:

Warlord's Challenge

33 Dwarves and 1 Magmadroth built.

Waiting for my basing materials to arrive so I can do all the bases at once and get everything glued on before I start painting, I prefer working that way than doing the models separately, I find that the colours seem more cohesive somehow that way.

Other "Legion of Doom" stuff

Decided I am going to magnetise the Celestial Hurricanums so I can switch them both between that and Luminarks, looks like an easy one as the whole top part is interchangeable. Also going to magnetise the wizards and give them 32mm bases as well so they can either be on their vehicles or alone.

Decided on all the wizards going on 32mm instead of 25mm so I have more basing area to play with. I do like me some bases.

Seraphon

Been woefully lazy with anything Seraphon related, having fun painting other stuff for now and need a break from the red and gold... I'll get back to them in a while.

Next update regarding the internet is going to be on the 17th, so probably won't get any pics up for at least another week.

Not dead though, just smell that way.

While I was waiting for the arrival of some basing materials I decided to build all my wizards (so far) - some subtle conversions and adjustments into their standard build forms and loadouts to hopefully reflect which order they represent.

The fire wizard is the main attraction so he got a little bonus from the bits box to reflect his time spent with the Fyreslayers learning about the Magmadroth and the relationship he built with both the beasts and the Fyreslayers themselves.

There's a story building in my head surrounding the army, so that's good.

The final two wizards are both going to be non-standard, probably proxy from Bad Squiddo as I want two female wizards to fill in the gaps now, one druidic in nature, and the other who looks like she messes with the weather. Watch this space.

Your wizards look good so far, I am looking forward to seeing them painted.

The Empire Wizards kit is one of my favorites in the entire GW range, so much so that I bought a set for my Bretonnians to be my hedge-wizards. So many customizable options, I am glad you made so many different ones!

Yeah, it's a great kit!

I mixed it up and used a lighter to melt some bits into position which weren't meant to go and used some green stuff... And used alternate heads from the Hurricanum kit to mix it up further, so they should all look different. With Saih and a Spellweaver to go in for the last two it should be a good looking set of wizards once I get cracking on them!

It's easy enough... I drill out a little hole using a hand drill (I think GW sell them, got mine on ebay for cheap) and then bore out the hole was required... Carefully...

Then I stick the magnet in with superglue (making sure its the right way around) - and then cover it over with green stuff as well before priming.

Overall, it's fine. Just take it easy and be prepared for the hand drilling part to take a long time as it's not the quickest process and you don't want to apply too much pressure - let the drill do the work.

Thanks a lot, will do !
