Blog Ritual's Army - Lizard on Lizard Action (For the Waaaaagh!)

This is actually the first vehicle I've painted, so it's pretty interesting so far.

Looks really good so far, are you weathering the red?

Oh and I downloaded the painting app on Archie's Ipad and he now wants to paint a Blood Angel army, not the ideal starting block for him but at least he wants to try, going to let him loose with the airbrush!!

I'm planning on doing some, just need to put some thought into what exactly it is as it's a much more annoying colour to fix if it goes wrong.

I did a little more on the tank over the weekend, but more importantly just got myself a ticket to the 'Eavy Metal NMM Masterclass at Warhammer World next year... Exciting!

Next year when?

I hope so, the wife is delighted because now she doesn't have to think of a Christmas present for me. I think it sold out in about 5 minutes, I was lucky that I remembered on the drive in that tickets were going on sale...

I think the OSL is a tad too strong but it does look cool!

Don't know how I feel about the OSL attempt but at least I tried something new!

I like your attitude!... And what you painted there...
I have to agree with @Aginor ... the parts color to the lights should be like the eagle on the chains (is that the right word?) and the eagle a bit brighter than it is now...

In English those are called tracks.
(In German tracks and chains is the same word).

In other news, painting tanks is remarkably different to painting other stuff, even dreadnaughts. Being able to take it a panel at a time and work on that one bit until it looks good is nice.

Obviously means it's taking me an eternity to paint this model - but the painting competition it's going in isn't for a few weeks yet (I think.)

Only thing I would do it drill out the barrels, are you doing OSL on the spot light on top and the gun lights? well you have to really.

Yah, I will drill them. I didn't build this model, it was a rescue so I've been trying to fill some of the gaps in it as I go too which has been super fun.

I'll definitely have to do the others now since I did this one... It'll be fine. I have until middle of November to finish / judging doesn't start until December. Fancy my chances with this one, but then I'm sure someone will paint Roboute Blueboy and win. Not bitter at all.
