Got some work done on my back log, magnets ordered and drill bit so im almost ready to go with the magentising the carnosaur.
    20210104_222753.jpg
Got the 8 cold ones sorted from my second SC box and got the bronze done on both the orcale and saurus as well as the blues on the skink, but i forgot to take that photo. Him and a completed saurus will come soon.

Additionally on the carnosaur front i finally got the bits filed down so they just pop in and out with friction. Below are some pictures of where i had to file down the back due to a bit of misassembly.
    20210107_182010.jpg 20210107_182016.jpg

Finally i found some older videos where a guy talks through how he magnetised his carnosaur and it looks like we had the same idea, so ill probably go with how hes done it cause it looks like it worked:

Finished the oldblood/scar-vet and oracle. Im noticing a few bits i could touch up but its tabletop ready i guess.

First time using Blood for the Blood God and i like it. The bronze is also done with balthasar gold, agrax earthshade and retributer armour on the raised bits and ill be doing this going forward. Also blue eye saurus, it was on the pallet and makes it kinda etheral.
Next up build the saurus guard and the Dino.

That was an experience and a half that was not made any easier than a slightly misaligned body build but importantly I got a carnosaur magnetised.
    20210115_212337.jpg
Pretty much most the tools i used beside pliers, superglue and plastic glue. The magnets are just some 3mm x 1mm magnets off amazon (n52 ones i think) and the pinvise is the army painter one with a 3mm drill i found off amazon cause i couldn't find the pack of army painter drill bits.
    20210115_221244.jpg
First magnet position. Youll need two for the spine, mostly because of the length. Use a bit of sprew to afix magnets where needed. PRO-TIP: the little round nubbins on the sprew are 3ish mm, snip them they use them as a guide for your drill makes life easier when you need easily recessed.
    20210115_224214.jpg
This is a poor photo but second maget for the spines. Unfortunately i had to pick a tail and drill into that, i also had issues with this manget being flush and this made alot of things worse. Unfortunately this would be a massive job to fix, so ill have to deal with it until it annoys me too much.

The two above points are what i recommend for the spine magnets. You could put it more in the center of the body but that may require work when the two halfs aren't together.

    20210116_145250.jpg
This is how i magnetised the head. 2 magnets will hold the head if well aligned, just dont be rough with the model. Each head has a similar post added with magnets and this time the flushness of the magnets doesn't matter as it depends on how you glued it in.

This took me about 8 hours of work with alot of swearing, hacking plastic and super glue, though this could all be reduced if you take your time and properly build the carnosaur and mark magnet sides correctly. Ill link some videos to the magnets working. If people want a more indepth run through i can do so.

Well done sir, well done. They fit perfectly!

Now for the throne and the Skink Oracle. Or will they not be interchangeble?

Thanks, I think i will keep the Oldblood to the side and magnetise his base to the main base. If you were to magetise the throne i think you'd need to put the magnets or something magnetic on the inside or drill into the side of the scales and cover them. I might attach the Orcale to trog head or magnetise a him to the main base since its much easier.

Its been a bit but i got some the troglosaur done besides the base.
    First the rider:
    20210211_210327.jpg
    20210211_210347.jpg
Golds are done iwth just retributor armour and riekland fleshshade and maybe a stromhost silver drybrush.
    20210213_221207.jpg
Mount and rider, lacking base. The rider is magnetised on so he can just be removed and replaced with a skink or rock. The body is lightly dry brished in some places with fyreslayer orange and averland sunset.
    20210213_231659.jpg
Troglodon and rider. This was my first attempt at wetblending and while it worked, it doesn't really have enough contrast with the rest of the model. I hope it sells the whole flaming lizard thing enough. Next up is basing and the 15 Saurus Guard.

Well done on this great creation. The change of parts is hardly noticeable, in fact I had to scroll up to make sure this was the one with the magnetized Carnao/Trog ;)

    Good job!!

I think this looks great. I wouldn't worry about the lower contrast. I think it works tremendously well, and looks very naturalistic.

Great to see your work magnetizing that monster, I wasn't brave enough to attempt it myself. Well done!

So this month i done a infinity campaign so many of my hobby hours were spent on that but i did get some saurus guard paint in between and it took like a month and a half to do so.
    20210328_202103.jpg
Im happy to be done with these. In many ways they could be touched up and i think i will one day but once these are based these are done.

I wanted to do a comparison of two models i painted about a year apart so here i go. My Troglodonosaur (black belly) and my scarvet on Carnosaur (pale):

    Riders
    20210417_182936.jpg
    Better comparison

The troglodonosaur one is much better imo, cause i've learned alot of the last 18+ months or so of painting. Both experience and tools help alot cause i actually had more than one good paint brush this time round.

Knights done. I had a week and a half of semi regular hobbying and made some great progress.

My entire shelf of saurus. 2 Dinos, 15 Guard, 2 Oldbloods, one of which is magnetised, 1 Sunblood, 15 Knights, 14ish Warriors, a Scar-vet on Cold One, and an Astrolith Bearer to cap it all off.

Of my two SC seraphon box i have just the 12 warrior left to build and paint and ill get to them eventually.

Bonus: I touched up my mormaer to scan him into TTS

An update. I've been working away at the start blood stalkers and Padre Inquistor Mendoza. The three ordinary skinks are finished but bases are done and mendoza is based. I heard that miniac has been doing a 50 hour painting challenge or something with his community that requires them to spend as much time as possibleon a single model to see how you get on, so i picked mendoza to do that with. So far hes only been primed.

All three and the highlighting on the skink bodies doesn't really come across.

Probably will need to touch up all three
