Blog Slannta's Workshop

I've done a rough number count on my skinks and Saurus in the cabinet; I have approximately 250 skinks and 200 Saurus, though I know I have about 300 skinks or more and the Saurus count didn't include my cold one riders and Slann carriers and a bunch of Saurus I have stowed away. When I fix the cabinet I will only put the models in one at a time to accurately log just how many I have. Send me more Slann please people I only have a small fraction compared to my other models now :'( boohoo.
 
Work is physically and mentally destroying me at the moment but on the plus side I got another Slann:

and there he is his body seems a similar size to the pigmy one :D - they really aren't that small compared to the rest of the 10mm scale range
 
So there is a set of cold riders or horned one riders called tihi huchi or something raiders? but I can't find them as notable skinks? on Warhammer wiki or just wiki about Warhammer - am I missing something?
 
They were from the regiments of renown book. But yeah basically Skink riders

I believe the dogs of war is what it would be under, but I am pretty sure that it was an official release.

I think it was lexicanum or so where I read a article that covered their story... They were based in the south lands and fought against and alongside dwarfs and tomb kings... Getting paid for their service with ancient artifacts of the old ones..

I guess I want a set of them, too... Time to reactivate my eBay account! ;)
 
So this is one of my newer bastdilion models part of my excessively large army, and he is joined my bastdlion V2.0 I may convert one - I need to find maybe a few more before that though - they're a toy from Wilkinsons (Wilko if you're that way inclined - please say no one is)

They're slightly larger and they look open to converting but I may be optimistic about that :P - I did get more green stuff and some pattern rollers so I am keeping an eye on the future projects just little time to commit to any ideas at the moment.

They were sort of an adhoc way for people to keep using their skink cold one riders for something when 5th became 6th edition and the saurus started riding them cold ones instead.
 
I like the not-bastiladon models. That would be a very cheap, easy way of making a horde of armored dinosaurs walking into battle with solar engines...
 
Thinking about buying a Dread saurian is it worth it?
