Thanks, I hoped to get some Mad Max vibes on him. Must be all those WWII allied vehicles I painted in last 5 years Next one will be wannabe Kroak (also from OPR). Yup, first time seeing extended version.
I managed to do a little in terms of hobby. But at least those two stegadons are magnetised. I plan to add some simple struts to ornaments, so they hold sunfire throwers and I only need to change one part for different weapons.
At least some progress. I managed to sprinkle bases and glue at least stegadon torsos. I alao took this nice progress photo of my steggies.
Today is amazing weather. And I mean literally perfect weather for spraying. Sunny, 22°C and only gentle breeze from time to time. I feel a bit depressed that I have absolutely nothing ready to prime. I bet that week from now, I will have plenty of stuff waiting for primer while looking from window at freezing rainstorms.
As I am waiting for 3D prints, so I can't prime steggies and my temple guards are at the office (and I am sick working from home), I found out that I have four 40k intercessors and I only need two more for full kill team, so I managed to get some second hand. It will be nice throwback as my first painted 28mm mini was free sample intercessor couple of years ago. Two of those that I found at home are same pose, so I will have nice comparison. Back then, I did not know how to paint and it is nicely visible on that model. I still have it right under monitor at work even after all those years. So there will possibly be couple of posts with intercessors in near future.
Bamboos for steggies should be done tomorrow. So for now, game is on! I´ve brought first three intercessors to work and prepared for some speedpaints. This time I decided to change formula a bit and instead of "dark sea grey" and "pale sand" I used "sky grey" and "white" to preshade them. My idea was to make colours pop a bit more as I noticed that on my orks colours shifted a bit. Orange looked like light brown, yellow was basically boney colour and boney colour was a bit darker boney colour I need to decide which chapter I´ll paint them as, or if it will be some custom paintjob. And here is that five years old mini I mentioned in previous post: Lets hope the new one will look better
Thank you for those kind words. I know that it is good for first mini, but I hope that my skill progressed a bit after all those models I painted. I am not saying thqt I am some kind of pro (no aspiration and no time), but I hope to see something better. But first, I have to choose a chapter colour scheme. I looked at dozens of them today and none look right to me. Black is difficult, I don't want them to be mostly metallic, I don't like aquillas on yellow ones, white over preshading doesn't work properly... I feel like picky girl in clothes shop
Meanwhile, I made paint rack that fits my bag, since I carried them in empty paper respirator box and two paper boxes from army painter (in which my additional speedpaints came from shop). Now it should be easier to find paint I am looking for and easier to pack them when I end my shift.
So, first of all. Bamboos are removed from supports and cured. I am really pleased with them and cannot wait to drill all those holes to mount them to howdahs. Another point is intermezzo Intercessors. First three are finished. It´s been fun so far and I really like that I have direct comparison to that five year old model.
