Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

It was fantastic to see you at Games Day, and to see the Great Project in person! This is Jim, your fellow lizarman player :D

I had been following it on Lustria since the start, so massive kudos and congrats to you. Should you ever be in Chicago again, the Temple of Blood and the Thuder Lizard must be used on the table together in some sort of Warhammer mayhem.

Thanks for taking so many pictures. My wife and I were so tired that we took no pictures at all between the two of us!

It is only fitting that lizardfolk should dominate over all the other child races :chicken:

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

No worries my friend...It was great seeing you there again since 2009 and WOW I loved your army. And Yes we should arrange some sort of MEGA Lizard event :)

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

I have not had a chance to look at the Storm of Magic rules yet, so I guess I better read up!

Since it looks like Games Day will be here at least one more year, I will have to work very hard to complete the Mazdimundi project  It involves fiber optic glowing frogs falling from the sky. Don't ask me how that is going to work yet!

My guess is there will be trial and error, modifications on the fly and such. You must have gone through so mant different variations in you head and on paper to make the Great Lizard a reality. Things don't always translate as anticipated when you have plastic or metal minis in your hand :meh:

I am glad you were able to get it all from Boston to Chicago in one piece. Heck, I was concerned about getting the scaley guys safely through the 35 minutes to the parking garage :spiderman:

@wappellious: Your army was incredible. Loved it! Amazing work on all the painting and converting. It was truly amazing to see in person. I didn't get the chance to actually meet you but hopefully we'll get the chance in the future. Congrats on winning the Armies on Parade.

@strategiccommand: It was good meeting you man. I loved actually seeing the Thunder Lizard in person. It's amazing at seeing something go from idea to full blown completion. I enjoyed following your progress and it was a definite treat to see it all in person. Lookin' forward to seeing some new stuff from you in the future.

Congrats to both of you guys. Let's keep the paint brushes going!

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

I have to say the two Lizardmen entries pot most of the rest of them to shame. :smug:

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

Did I miss pictures of the Temple of Blood?

The Thunderlizard was amazing. I would love to see the Temple that was considered first among lizard equals.

Just say your pics on the GW site, congrats turned out awesome.

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

Nice one guys!
I notice that they didn't mention the allegiances on the GW website there.
Are they just too scared about what these forums might produce in the future?

Again, amazing work guys, you really deserved to do so well.
(Only wish I could paint and convert so well...)

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

Congrats on the article, this piece is truly, truly amazing. The Temple piece is awe inspiring as well, both of you should be very proud of your work.

This is inspirational to no end.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)

Thanks for all the kind words, and going over there to check it out!

There was a terrain piece I wanted to buld for GD which is still in progress. It was going to be on the army board. It's one of the tall pylons you see on the cover of the lizard book. Mine is about a foot tall, and the idea is that it would be a terradon aviary of sorts.

Well, I guess I could still enter it as a diorama next year!

Re: Something Big this way comes....(***Update July 29th***)
