I prefer to call it the "Disney trilogy" rather than the sequels. I just can't accept what they did to all the original characters. :'(

The EU (or at least most of it) will always be the preferred canon in my mind.

Exactly! I've transitioned to calling it that too. This is not the trilogy that George Lucas envisioned. He sold them story outlines and they chose not to use them.

I just can't accept what they did to all the original characters. :'(
It's pretty sad and they squandered the last chance we had to see Han, Luke and Leia all on screen together.

Agreed. The EU is vastly superior.
 
Finished watching episode 4. I'd say it was the weakest of the first four episodes, but on the plus side, still zero wokeness.
 
Yeah, episode 4 was a lot of introduction. But still a very good setup :)

Episode 5 & 6 are tied for my favorites. While there was some poor acting and poor decisions in the prequels, I still like them.

What do you guys think about baby Yoda? Is he a clone or just another member of the species?
