After reading your description I was very curious about how your Ripper looks and I was pleasantly surprised. It looks pretty cool! :)

My idea is to imitate the 5 ed Lizardmen monster schema.
    Black back, ivory belly.
Which is... oh my snake ! the same as my skink schema...

In days were sacred pools goes dry, Sotek's calls echoes in the stars.

Looking through old pics on here, I love your sparing use of more futuristic bits. It reminds me of stargate! very unique!

    I agree too.
I need some bits for another army, i'll get a buch off Tau parts to custom my characters and make them more "equiped" to fill their mission.

    Need stuff for :
    - A flying priest
    - A Starpriest (no idea over how to to make this one high tech)

I've been working on an idea of using wrist watch parts to represent time travel.

    I present to you
    The base
    The guy
    The stuff

those of course require some painting before becoming one model.

those will be a Priest with feather coat.
"Feather" are symbolised by the anthena... and yes, it's a jet pack. (for the flying ability rule)
His "stick that shot lightenings and stars..." just a feathered pulse gun of the ages.

    Update
    This time, i've done it.
I'll try my best with all the skills available (at a low level) and i'm kind of proud.

The skink color are quiet the same as the background and gear is holding.
To give more contrast i've put all tech details in light green and some feathers in red. Gold also help.
The weird "hot burning" reactor at the buttom used also the green/white light, just to give it more mystery around the tech used.
This guy is about to make a jumb and the base also got greenburn around.
And yes... he got a gun.

What do you think of my Priest with feather cloak ?

That skink is too cool for school :cool::cool:

Excellent work, I love the interplay between the stone-colored gear and the green. Well done :pompus::artist::vulcan:

Till the AOS 2 comming out and change all the plans we have here.
    Here is my painting schedule.
Now, i have all 3 Heroes converted according to my thematic, i can start over.

I'll try to do it from top to botom and make some bases around, just to fill the blank.
Maybe i'll get bored before the end and switch back to my 40k army, or maybe i'll found an idea for the monster contest (got a steggy on the list).
The plan is to finish everything before 2019.

He is nicely painted but for my personal taste he looks too futuristic.
A very unique model though, which is something I love. Thumbs up! :)

Here some news on the project.
I've put it on stand by, waiting for more feed back about the new AOS2.

My list has not really changed with the new cost adjustements, just one salamander has to be pushed out.
By as you know, i don't like slanns, and i never did.
As they are the main focus of the army right now (it really looks like necromancers to me...) i prefer to wait a bit and see. i'm not sure this will be a thing.

Those invocation units will cost a lot of points and ressources to construct an army around them, but they can still be focused easily by invocations and drop units, there is still a path for "no invoc" focused armies. We will see.

    Hi there !
The pool re-open once again with the new book.
If skink is your kink, i'm back.

With my new army list i come with this new painting schedule. The good new is that most of them have been finished from previous batch.
This time, i'll try to end the first 1k witch contain before the end of the year :
    - StarPriest (done, 6th ed stegadon helmed skink)
    - Priest (7th or 6th ed Tenehuini, he's taking is sacred bath)
    - 40 skinks (mostly done, only 4 bases remaining)
    - 10 skinks (done)
    - 1 stegadon (i'd like to put more red on the steg + adding a chief on the base)
    - 3 sallies (6 handlers to paint)

For the next 1k, my old Astroliht will become the "starseer artefact" with a priest behind.
My JetPacked skink will be my Ripperdactyl Chief. Or maybe, ill keep him this way and still play him like a Feather Priest ... don't know yet.

I'm still working on my army.
I bought some blue stuff and i'm working around to get some shields for my skinks.
The mold technique is getting better, i'll try to paint one to see if it's right.

    Sorry for the potato quality...

And off course, new battletome = new army list = new painting schedule....
I'm happy that i've already made my 50 skinks and 3 salamanders.

Here we are. 1k complete... at last.
With a few addition to the list with a regular priest as Tenehuini himself (can't get my hand on the 5th ed version, he is somewhere in an unopen box maybe).
    three sallies +9 handlers.

    And the full group :
The hardest part was, i guess, finishing all the bases.
Now, ill try to finish my 1k SM and GSC for this year.
    And then, ill go 2k.

I'm not really happy with the pic, ill try natural light and white table :p

40 shields are on the way.

    Oh hello mates.

I'm not back in the game... since i never played it really.
Seraphons gots around 3 or 4 big rules updates since i tried to make a playable army.
    But i never stopped really.
I just stopped Seraphons, to start... lizardmen ... and 5th edition of course.

My last progress is a big one.
You know i hate slanns, for obscure reason (don't have enough money back in the days to afford one, the one i got missed one handle arme to build it...)

But today is a new day i did this :

I'm trying to finish a 1k army by the end of the year. We'll see.
