Blog The Grove: Personal and Commission Works

Yes I had to take a change of pace. I finished the highlights on this guys as well a the skulls on their heads as well as shields, etc. I started doing the weapons and realized this is going to take a long time. I am going to pick up a commission Saturday and will need to take a pause on these guys. When I paint I feel I need to finish something to feel accomplished. So before my commission I decided to look through my models (I have a ton unpainted) and I pulled out a Wood Elves Spell Weaver. I am currently going to work on her because I should be able to get it done by Saturday. Then I will have something new to throw up in my glass case!

If anyone's played league of legends - doesn't this model remind them of Jana? it just hit me just now :p

Edit: Jana has 90% less clothing though

Next time you do one of these you should totally try get her blue/white colour scheme :D
LOL I wanted to do green to make it more Wood Elf-ish. I dont play LoL so I don't really have any connection to that character. I just found that pic on google ;p
Real good blending! I specially like the base stones!
Agreed! Everyone says they like the cape, but I'm like man i really like the stone floor hahaha. I wanted to do something different with this one since the rest of my WE's have vegetation bases.

Very well painting indeed! You're very talented :) I especially like your dark stegadon! Very inspiring.

I usually try and glue as much as I can before painting. I decided to leave the wings off because the fleshy part of the wings will be a pinkish color and I dont want to deal with over spray.
