The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer II

That would depend on how much of his own private time he'd like to commit to such a thing. From what I gathered from the article, Cavill values what little privacy his celebrity status can afford to give him, and video games are about the only thing he has that can provide him an escape from it all.

Yeah, Cavill is a big time nerd that loves videogames and all that, but he really seems to be a very reserved person outside of the public eye. He doesn't have a twitter acount and his facebook and instagram page seems to be mostly promotional content run by a media manager. Also twitch really isn't a good place to have a conversation with your fans, unless you are a bit of a niche streamer, since chat and such usually consists of memes, attention seeking, racial slurs and general stutter.

I wonder if he plays multiplayer in Total warhammer? Anybody who plays online on the regular have meet each other a few times.

yeah I've thrashed him a couple of times. Told him to get back in the gym and come back when he's good enough to face me.

By the way, has anyone found a way to get legendary lords of factions that have been destroyed? especially if your potential confederates are on the other side of the map you often lose out. So is there any way of achieving that?

cool, shame it adds in all the dead lords though and the mentioned known bugs. But ah well, can't have everything.

meh, that seems like it'd have massive balance implications yeah. Imho, it'd be great if they just let you unlock them naturally in other ways than confederation.

Long time since there has been any news for the game, but now the time has come. CA have confirmed that there will be 2 more lord packs for the game, and we can expect to hear news sometimes this month or the next.:)

yeah, would've expected some news about warhammer III by now to be honest. Weren't they planning on making them roughly every two year?

Their contract with GW officially ends sometime during 2022, other than that they have no real obligations other than to finish the trilogi as far i am aware. The first game had a lifespan of about 1.4 years before it got replaced, and game 2 have had a lifespan of about 3,5 years so far.

I just vaguely remember a roadmap that said they wanted each to be roughly 2 years. Can't remember how or where I saw it though.

I am really enjoying the game so far.
Right now playing a Vampire Counts campaign, mostly fighting Dwarves.

Will get back to Lizards after that though.

it's both one of the greatest and one of the worst TW games. I hope they'l learn from this for their next TW game (I doubt they'l fix the issues in warhammer III simply because it needs to work with the same basis & it's this basis where the flaws are...)

It is the first TW game I played (except TWW1 which is mostly the same) so I cannot tell.
What I can tell:
- I am comparatively bad at this game
- I am having a lot of fun.
- I want to play more games like this. I'd especially like to have one covering Europe in the 12th to 16th century.

Medieval 2: Total War covers the time period between the Norman invasion of Britain and the discovery of the New World, including crusades, jihads, and the Mongol invasions. It's a title that predates many of the mechanics featured in Total War: Warhammer (even after taking magic into account), so some aspects of the game are much simpler.

Yeah, but I looked at the graphics and gameplay in videos and.... going from TWW2 back to that game feels like a trip to the stone age for me.

Edit:
Hmmmm... maybe with mods? Some overhaul mod or something? Any experiences with that?

Edit:
And even then... we are talking about a 15 year old game there...

Indeed. Unfortunately, the only other viable choice for Medieval grand strategy that I know of is Crusader Kings, and that game - like every other Paradox game - is more about managing spreadsheets than engaging in battles at the tactical level.

Next lord pack has to be Eltharion v Grom, because they've promised a Greenskin rework for the next patch, and that matchup just makes so much sense. They released Markus alongside the Empire rework, so the modus operandi fits. The FLC is the real question mark there.

Final lord pack I have to assume will be Beastmen v Wood Elves, because (1) they've promised to update all the old world factions before 3 comes out and (2) they don't have many legendary lords and (3) Beastmen are missing a couple of their units.

This will leave only Warriors of Chaos as being the last overhauled faction, and I fully expect them to be reworked for TWW3 which presumably will be adding the four chaos god factions in some form or another. Maybe Norsca will get a FLC lord since they would then be the last faction stuck with only 2 LLs.

Those are my predictions for now - come back and laugh at me if they all turn out to be hopelessly wrong! :D
