    Yes. Gargoyles was a great show with some serious potential. It's a shame the second season was so rushed. (EDIT: I meant third season)

    You mean the third season was so rushed? The second season was really long and masterfully constructed (with more episodes than season 1 and 3 combined). The third season was the subpar one.

    it's strange. it was a great show but Disney hasn't tried to do anything with it. they are remaking everything else from the Disney afternoon but not gargoyles

    If Disney made 100% crap, I would be okay with it. But they are making 90% which is worse. But the Ducktales reboot was one of the best shows I ever seen. This proves that Disney can make good with their IP, they just choose not to.

    It's possible that a reboot of Gargoyles would be good.

    Also, Gargoyles would have checked most of the right boxes without receiving a woke make over. There were a lot of strong female characters and the leading human character was mixed race Nigerian/Native American.

    Even without me, the forum's Star Wars content would be well ahead.

    That said, Star Wars being able to create such deep fan loyalty and enthusiasm, as exhibited by me, counts as another win! It's not my fault that LOTR is seemingly incapable of evoking the same degree of dedication (at least on this forum, there are both LOTR and SW fans out there that are far more fanatical than I).

    And nobody ever had any issue with it because it was fun, engaging and well written. It still wouldn't be woke enough for today's leftists. The characters would have to hate America and Elisa Maza would have to be physically stronger and generally more capable than Goliath in every possible way.

    I may not post as many memes as you, but I have spent hundreds of hours trying to follow in Tolkien's mighty footsteps. Though my efforts have been accelerated by the recent decay of fantasy in media and woke infiltrators because there is the saying "if you don't like it, make your own." So I wrote over a half of a million words developing an elaborate fantasy world with an accompany RPG system for it.

    It's either dedication or OCD.

    Inspired by, but not actual LOTR. You're creating your own thing, that I would hope deviates a fair bit from LOTR. If you were writing actual LOTR fan fiction, then I'd count it towards LOTR devotion/fanaticism.

    I don't want to worship at the altar of Star Wars' and LOTR's greatness for the rest of my life. I want to appreciate these great stories of the past and then look forward to great new stories of the future while occasionally revisiting old stories of the past.

    That's fair enough.

    I tend to re-watch and focus on my favourites much more than the average person. Most often I'll re-watch a series as opposed to starting something brand new (especially if that new thing is in no way tied to something I've already previously enjoyed). However, I readily acknowledge that most people are not like that.
