no, guards specificly said in the movement & charge phase. Piling in was allowed.it more often works against you then helps you eternal guard being a prime example they get +1 to saves and to hit rolls if they don't move so if you wan't the bonus you can't charge or pile in to get it
Not Temple guard, Eternal guard and it definitely does still exist cities is my second Armyno, guards specificly said in the movement & charge phase. Piling in was allowed.
Anyway, that particular rule doesn't exist anymore so it doesn't matter![]()
ah, nevermind, thought you meant temple guard. In that case I said nothing. Not Temple guard, Eternal guard and it definitely does still exist cities is my second Army
Which list is this? I feel bone reapers will have a hard time against us. They don't have great ways of killing our heros and we can easily shut down their magic buffs with kroak.Played another game against Ossiarch, now against run+charge subfaction. I brought thunderquake and it just wrecked them. By turn 3 I've lost only 30 skinks and some handlers, while my opponent lost 20 horsemen, 5 stakers and arkhan. He was lef with near dead boneshaper, kavalos and 10 mortek. Double turn was decisive, however.
I like how the list works and I don't really want to change anything. Maybe, stuff like 5 guard instead of 10 skinks or triumph instead of burning head. Still want to test it against other armies (I kind of figured what to to with ossiarch), but now it is impossible, unfortunately.

The change to how ranged weapons work while in melee has made javalins pointless. Previously you could use it to threaten a backline unit. For example you charge into the unit of zombies protecting a necromancer, then throw the javalins at the necromancer. Which force squishy support units to keep their distance.
Now that you have to shoot into your melee targets this is impossible. Making the range "advantage" javalins have more or less pointless. They might've been worth it if they had better hit & wound rolls, or at least guaranteed 3-4 attacks so they'd be more reliable than bolas. Or maybe even if the range was long enough to turn them into proper skirmishers. But with a range that requires them to be in charge-distance anyway it doesn't really provide anything of interest outside the occasional shot when you happen to get stuck 7" away from an enemy.
The only issue with taking those for deepstrike is that the javalins will be fairly pointless anyways. The point was that you can drop the Terradons 9” away, get to shoot with javelins (12” range), then charge into combat. You cant do that with Bolas since they have 6” range. But I agree that having Terradons on the board and moving around is likely the best setup.
My point was just that javelins do make sense if you want to deepstrike with the Terradons.

Not everyone runs kroak and the dice gods are fickle. Bone reapers are annoying. Not impossible. But annoyingWhich list is this? I feel bone reapers will have a hard time against us. They don't have great ways of killing our heros and we can easily shut down their magic buffs with kroak.

sorry im out of the loop. why are they saying we are broken? because we really aren't, at all tzeench is 2-3 times better then we are and they don't fall apart when their heroes dieSo it seems like anywhere on the social media (twitter, facebook etc.) we have already been labelled "Tzeentch v2", "next broken OP army" due to TTS. It really zaps my hobby mojo. How are you guys finding it? And how do you cope with it? Do you just not care?
im sorry you had to go thru that it is a constant problem when playing casualy and takes a lot of practice to fit your lists to your opponents skillI pre-ordered Slaanesh when it was announced and had a blast hobbying away, but when I hit the tables and found out how strong the army was and how negative the experience was for my opponent, it really sucked out any interest in playing Slaanesh for me. I shelved the entire army pretty quickly. I somewhat fear Fangs of Sotek might give my opponent the same negative player experience. For me, non tournament games are all about having fun (while still being competitive/trying to win), but if my opponents/friends are about to mentally break half way through the game, I dont find it enjoyable either.
