Just looks so wonderful on that base. Absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous.
So many little details on the base just gives so much appeal to an already appealing model. Brilliant work here!

holy motherhissing mother of lizards… :wideyed:
ok that's ten times sir Archibald Kudos, at the very least. :pompus::pompus::pompus::pompus::pompus::pompus::pompus::pompus::pompus::pompus: keep it up girl. But if you'll take advice, maybe don't give up on pole dancing either. Or at any rate on physical activity. Or you'll run mad from all the time you must put into these stunning minis :p

Thank you! I'll never give up on my aerial arts :) keeps me healthy and fit while I sit on my butt painting stuff hehe new tricks from today!! image.jpeg

Wow so you say that you are not just good at art but also aerial arts? is that allowed?
;)

You should try to place some models around you, grab a big brush and paint them by spinning around... Some event art like Christo did... But without sun umbrellas flying around killing people... ;)

This thread is so beautiful it makes me wanna cry. Gloriously inspiring stuff, and some very, very useful references for those of us just starting out.
Simply gorgeous, looking forward to seeing more!

I have to ask, how do you get your colours so beautifully luminous? I'm wanting to go for some very gaudy feathered plumes on some of my skinks, and I'm currently looking for a satisfactory bioluminescent blue effect for my Everblight beasties for WarmaHordes, and you've really hit it on the head for full saturation colour without causing technicolor eyebleeds.

My guess would be some sort of subtle mix of skill and magic. Her work is so amazingly above my level that I can see no other way.

Thank you :) I'd have to say my trick to the crazy colours would be starting with a White primer, picking a colour and then highlighting with an analogous colour like, blue into green for example. Or orange to yellow. Then add touches of white.

Took a month on my Scar vet base.

The base really give the sense that the Dread is stalking in the jungle, are you finishing your Steggy next?
It's just over a month now and it's finally cleared up.... Kinda turned me off painting to be honest haha, haven't done a single thing since. Looking at painting a single little guy next if the weather ever comes good for priming :(

I found thin layers the best way but I still have one model that is still cloudy painted around 7 weeks ago!
