    Not to worry...

Tomb Kings > Skaven > High Elves :p

Unless of course we are talking about 8th edition power levels, in which case we have: High Elves >>> Skaven >>>>>>>>>Tomb Kings :(

    Interesting thought:

Vsmps main spell is invocation of nehek

    Nehekhara means : great land

Judging by and applying modern grammatical structure, "hara" means great in that instance.

So vampa are casting an invocation of the land

I don't mind the steampunk and the KO overall meets my tastes. Fyreslayers could have been nice but visually they are just slayers with different flavors, so i rank them at the bottom of my personal dwarfs list.
I like the fact they have monsters but magmadroth seems just a clumsy behemoth, i would have liked a dragon chinese style.

And none of them got the charme of a sturdy dwarf King with shieldbearers.

Back in the 80ies I had the regiment of renown Bugmans and around 20 boxes of wood elfs, this is pre-plastic bases and hundreds of others, I gave them all away!

Yeah, was thinking of trying to make a Dispossessed army, get my hands on some of the older metal models. Thorgrim seems ungodly expensive on Ebay though, so getting him at a halfway decent price might take a while. Rather like the Thorek Ironbrow model, with that sweet anvil, and it hands out some nice buffs. Was one of the few legacy characters that didn't take much of a beating when the nerf happened. Other then that, was thinking of maybe grabbing Ungrim for that nice command ability (Was rather surprised to find that Ungrim is still named, and has the Dispossessed Keyword, unlike the other legacy characters), and Josef for that sweet ambush he can pull with a unit of quarrelers. Don't dislike the Fyreslayers, I think it's an interesting idea in theory, they just look kind of silly to me tbh. Kharadron aren't bad as well, since they're the other logical direction you could take dwarves, but at the same time, feels like they're a little to advanced for an AoS type setting. Plus whenever I look at them I get Squat flashbacks.

Of course it's the rule of cool we are talking about. I ignore power levels.

Complete rule of cool listing: TK > Dwarfs > Lizardmen > Orcs and Goblins > Skaven > High Elves > Bretonnia > Wood Elves > Ogre Kingdoms > Dark Elves > Beastmen > Daemons of Chaos > Warriors of Chaos >>>>>>>> Empire >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Vampire Counts.

I love the Fyreslayers and Kharadron Overlords just as much as the regular Dwarfs - I like the idea that they are all different cultures yet all have the same ancient roots as our favourite Grudge-Bearing bearded ones.

    You PLONKER!

Rule of cool (the NIGHTBRINGER version):

    1. Warriors of Chaos, Lizardmen & Tomb Kings (these 3 constantly swap positions among themselves)
    2. Dark Elves
    3. Chaos Dwarfs
    4. Wood Elves
    5. Ogre Kingdoms
    6. Dwarfs
    7. Skaven
    8. Orcs & Goblins
    9. Vampire Counts
    10. Bretonnia
    11. High Elves
    12. Empire
    13. Beastmen
    14. Daemons of Chaos

Can't really hate the Imperiums fluff to much myself, since it's basically intended to be a ridiculously over the top misery fest (The fanbase literally came up with the term Grimdark for the purpose of describing the grim darkness that is the 40k universe(I mean, it's also a pun on "In the grim darkness of the future, there is only war", but whatever)). GW's tried to take things seriously lately, which I'd say is a mistake since there's no going to back from growing babies in vats, attaching cybernetic enhancements and mechanical wings to them, killing the thinking section of their brain, and having them serve you as mindless servitors in a bunch of different rolls.

    ORKS!

Yeah they aren't for everyone... I just got them because I think they and their ramshackle teknology is funny.

You know I was thinking about doing that:

    drawn-sailing-ship-flying-pirate-4_zoomed.jpg

Would make a great looking army!
