Anyone remember the carnival of chaos from Mordheim?
Mm, have the full warband from back in the day, love the two plague bearers from the set. Have everything but that damned cart, the thing is ungodly expensive, no matter where you look.Anyone remember the carnival of chaos from Mordheim?

Oof, hated fighting the sisters. Damn steel whips. I basically just ran Cult of the Possessed and Carnival of Chaos, though I had a team of Skaven I used once in a blue moon.I remember the carnival. I was always a middenhiemer or sisters of Sigmar though
you could probably remake your cult with frostgrave cultists now....Oof, hated fighting the sisters. Damn steel whips. I basically just ran Cult of the Possessed and Carnival of Chaos, though I had a team of Skaven I used once in a blue moon.
I was never a big fan of Bretonnia or Empire personally. The only human army I liked are the WoC... if you can even classify them as human (I guess marauders would count as human).I've been reading a lot of medieval fantasy novels of late and I'm feeling quite Bretonnian at the moment...

Warriors are hardly human at this point. Super powered with the taint of chaos and having their armor fused with their bodies.Well Chaos Warriors certainly seem human so they should have just got 1 attack each. I can understand Saurus Warriors getting 2 attacks as they bite and stab, but Chaos Warriors don't have massive jaws, they just have a weapon each.
In the 7th edition WoC book, Marauders were way over powered. They were a far better value in comparison to Warriors. In 8th they were nerfed pretty bad, and were largely shelved by most WoC generals. They did Marauders right at least, giving them a competent yet not ridiculous profile.

Yeah the Brettonians look like 12th or 13th century troops, while The Empire is more Renaissance (16th century) stuff I guess.
I do like Knights as much as most people playing fantasy games, but.... meh. Compared to the other armies they just lack the fantasy part for me.
Hmmmm I also have an idea there....True.
I did find this blog just now: Tides of War.
They had a great Bretonnian tournament!

It was from 2014, lots more great pictures on the site, plus some giant collections of historical miniatures.

Makes me want to go make some more Bretonnian jousting terrain!
Ok here it is. Just for laughs, it is just a 5 minute job:
My Necromancers decided to have some fun while raising undead on a graveyard.
Skeleton jousting!

They just don't stack up to the awesomeness that is my WoC, Lizardmen and Tomb Kings! (IN MY PERSONAL OPINION OF COURSE!). I like my Warhammer armies to be a bit more exotic.Heresy!
I totally understand though, they can be a bit... bland? Especially compared to the other fantastical races that populate the warhammer world.![]()

That being said, the Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn) and Ivanhoe were some of my favorite movies as a kid, so the Bretonnians really scratch my itch as far as glorious medieval jousts are concerned.![]()
