The interesting thing is that despite the AoS retconning of Warhammer Fantasy characters, all three of the Karak Eight Peaks campaign leaders are still available (Skarsnik's model is confirmed to remain in the Gloomspite Battletome).

Meh, I suppose it will be just a nameless hero, in the same way Chakax has become the eternity warden.

Skarsnik as you say is now a Warboss with Great Cave Squig, Queek is a regular Skaven Warlord and King Belegar is the Warden King, but the fact is that you can still buy the models if you ever wished to do a Karak Eight Peaks Campaign.

That's absolutely true! you could even reenact that campaign in AoS... but don't tell it to @NIGHTBRINGER :p

Plus, they're still beautiful models.

I’ve still got the White Dwarf issue where they released Fantasy rules for that campaign too - March 2011 it was, when Greenskins got their 8th Edition book.

You could certainly use the Warhammer Legends Rules to recreate that battle in AoS, or you could have Dispossessed, Kharadron and Fyreslayers on the Dwarf side, Ironjawz, Bonesplitterz and Gloomspite Gitz on the Greenskins side and all the Skaven factions on the Skaven side.

I logged into The Round Table of Bretonnia today, which sadly I had been absent for over a month. Sad to learn that the once proud website has finally shut down operations entirely. Good luck and best wishes to Sir @pendrake and the rest of the Round Table staff, I hope the website and its glorious archives eventually find a new home!

I was never a fan of Bretonnia but that is sad. They were never really supported by GW and now they have lost their forum support as well. :(

I honestly want to launch a thousand insults and Pagan curses at the Empire now for daring to still exist despite their aesthetic looking so bad compared that of Bretonnia :mad::rage::punch: but such a display of bad language would not be tolerated on this forum :muted:
