The Shrine to Lost Armies

I thought it would have been the first (glorious) post of the new page, but i've made a mistake… :p
 
Dear sotek, it is awesome, I have never seen terrain that awesome! But is it wrong of me to think about how my carnosaurs will devour all the dwarves in the image?
 
here we are again, with the second big diorama.

the setting is the attack to the Empire's city of Nuln, made by skaven, which erupted from below the city.

Sadly, the guy with the Nuln's defenders was not with us at the moment of the placing, so the diorama was simply filled by skaven.

Those shoud have been the defenders, painted as true Nuln soldiers. The steam tank conversion is pretty neat.

Those dioramas are glorious :wideyed:

Love the little nooks and crannies in the dwarf fortress, lots of places to hide special characters!

Unfortunately so, in preparation for this dreadful upcoming Cities of Sigmar tome. Furthermore, the most irritating things are that:
  1. The awful hunchback half-Orc Empire State Trooper models are still blighting the GW webstore with their presence, yet the archers, probably the only decent set in the 7th Edition Empire infantry sculpts, have gone.
  2. The Dwarf Cannon and Organ Gun set has gone, yet the Empire Helblaster and Helstorm set is still there - Dwarfs have always made superior artillery, yet GW continues to ignore this fact.
  3. Dark Elves, despite not fitting into the Order grand alliance at all, didn't lose a single model, yet High Elves and Wood Elves both lost pretty much all their ranges (only the Phoenix Guard, Phoenix and Shadow Warriors remain for High Elves and the Eternal Guard remain for Wood Elves). They always seemed to be one of GW's favourites in 8th Edition, and it seems that they remain so in AoS.

Granted it doesn't look like these models are actually the GW line, but I would love to make this board :wideyed:
 
Jaysus that diorama is incredible! And the models are so well painted as well. Makes me wish for a diorama thread in Itza so we can see all.these great works in one piece!
