The one I have is really a good looking building and I recommend them. Now I just need to finish all the details.

Taken delivery of parts to make a Temple Guard kaskrin squad. Now just waiting for temple guard models on backorder.
I heard somewhere that they might be back in stock on the 15th but I can remember where and if it's reliable

Groucho leading a group of Tommy gun weilding gangsters as I basecoat my latest Pulp Alley models. Lots still to do, not the least being the proper eyeballs for Groucho or Captain Jeffery T. Spaulding for those in the know.

You have no idea how sad it is to me when so many people today have no idea who he is.

Well it turns out that the stuff I'm waiting for on back order was not made available on the 15th so now I'm pacing back and forth, wearing a hole in the carpet.
For now though I shall be doing finishig touches to the current project.

Nah, I am replacing it with laminate floors. Easier to clean and more hard-wearing

I was able to get my wife to watch Bogart movies and some other classics but Abbott and Costello or the Marx Brothers? No. Jimmy Stewart she loves so that's not a fight. She doesn't get the humor and I gave up on her liking Red Skelton or Jack Benny. In her defense I don't think most of modern comedy is funny so I can't throw stones.

"I'd like to get out of these wet clothes and into a dry martini. " - Groucho Marx

I said that to my wife thinking she'd remember the line and I'd get a quick laugh. Instead she replied with, " but you don't drink." She keeps me humble.

I enjoy them. Depends on you sense of humor and some don't enjoy them. I love old comedy such as Red Skelton, Abbott and Costello and Laurel and Hardy. I'm a 90 year old man stuck in 50 year old body. I'm slowly introducing old cinema to my youngest, he's just old enough for me to let him watch the Three Stooges.

Laurel and Hardy is an under-rated show these days. I'm not hitting 50 for a few years yet, but they were in reruns on at least two channels when I was a kid and watched them frequently.

Agreed! I've gotten into older humor as I like the cleaner aspects of it. They may say bawdy humor but it's usually hidden as a more innocent joke. Also the word play was amazing. These actors and actresses being able to convey a world of meaning with a look is just awe inspiring. Now it is more mindless chatter and CGI effects, pardon my bias is showing.

I think the problem I have with modern humour in cinema, is that while I personally like the Joss Whedon brand of sarcastic humour (it's just closer to my natural form of humour), because it was so well received in Guardians of the Galaxy (which ironically, was NOT Joss Whedon), it feels like everybody leapt upon the bandwagon and now it's over-saturated. Which annoys me. Greatly.

And yes, CGI needs to be toned right down. Practical effects still reign as king for me. CGI should be used to enhance practical effects, not replace them in my humble opinion. Jurassic Park will never not look amazing to me.
