table 1: 2 nids vs guards & Blood Angels
table 2: guards & Custodes vs 2 necrons

(a splinter fleet escaped from Baal was hungry for biomass and attacked a hive world defended by some guards, but it was followed by a vengeful force of BA with imperial support. But why the defensive orbital cannons placed on the moon aren't firing against the bioships? well, of course because necrons were there to recover some of their old tech that was buried in an ancient subterranean chamber)

I have obtained another big squig for my squig-themed 40K army. Now I need to decide on my HQ option. Originally I was going to use Boss Squigstruk (Zagstruk) as my Warlord, but he is now Legends... which means he may be going away, so I should try to find a different warlord. I'm thinking i need to obtain one random squig hopper to turn into a Squiggy Wizzgit. (Wyrdsquig/Wyrdgrot)

I finished painting 10 Uruk-hai Scouts and started work on some more Uruk-hai warriors and Scouts.

I am converting some of the warriors to crossbow guys. With one of them I am not sure how to proceed. So feel free to give your take on it.

Repainted the box on the truck, added a company name. Nothing nefarious here, move along. Also making some short hedges, tall ones for later. Terminators visiting my Pulp Alley minis, it really is amazing how much cooler they look when next to true scale minis. Working next on a 30 or so afghan soldiers, Perry Brothers are such great a company for proper minis.

Worked on assembling a new BsB Scar Vet using some of the new saurus warriors. Also assembled and converted some extras as gifts for some work friends.

That is a very nice building. What company is it from? Looks like laser-cut fiberboard?

Yet more work on my Saurus Death Riders.
Almost ready to begin final assembly. Just need to do some more remedial work amd do the last block colour. Also I gotta basecoat a bunch of tiny accessory bits to stick to them.

That stinks! I think they discontinued this specific building. I really want the whole set as it would fit my Mordheim game and Pulp Alley. Sadly it's costly so I have to save up.

Is it more than a coincidence that I've also just made a load of hedges? Though mine are rather a lot wilder-looking than yours, and some of them have bits of wall amidst them (intended to be roadside hedges for a rural setting). Also mine are generally lower, intentionally made for my Epic-Scale ECW Royalists... and Armoured Clash, once they're all complete, because I've become obsessed with the latter game right now.

Ooh, interesting, Perry plastics are just gorgeous sculpts for gorgeous prices. I still need to find a valid game-oriented reason to get some other than 'because they look great' though.

Are you intending to get into some Victorian Colonial warfare with them or are you using them for another purpose?

This will be a Gondorian city block.
I will be adding some buildings and a couple of walls and a gatehouse.

Painting. Very very slowly. Its always the details that hold me up. Especially if I am doing a bunch of layers. Some results are visible here.

I do believe I may have to scrounge some of these from eBay for my kobold-run model train layout

    Great minds think alike?
The hedges are more of a proof of concept, I like the idea of more realistic for ones in the future. This set is for manicured lawns and suburban areas. I have several lists of battlefield scatter that I want and between painting I'm trying to finally get off my rear and make some. The afghans are for Pulp Alley. I'd love to get into historical gaming but if I did I'd borrow a friend's armies, my marriage would never survive another game system. Pulp Alley is only rough on the wallet for buildings and those can also go into my 30k games or fantasy. Scratch building will also help as my Mordheim terrain will be better if I improve my building skills. I still want the skeleton horse merry go round.
