I've put away the models I've used in the Apocalypse we played yesterday (a demonstration in a public street during an open day festival)

    The battlefield:
the bow of a destroyed chaos warship crushed on a planet of the imperium…

    01.jpg

    02.jpg

Nurgle defends the ship (with 2 free reinforcements each turn)

    03.jpg

AdMech & Grey Knights prepare the assault (with the objective to enter in it)

    04.jpg

...while Khorne ad Nurgle united try to halt the planetary defense force

    05.jpg

The crucial clash of mightiest heroes! (spoiler : the Dreadknight will crush the daemon ;))

Basecoating the rest of the Bird ghouls this evening, then off to fluff write about them. Still stuck between the two ideas. Birds seemed to get the attention of a few :D Same with my other AoP idea. Also listening to a fitting song for the birds. Well personal fitting

Shaded some of the Carrion yesterday and the rest of the zombies are ready for basing.
Also put some stuff on ebay and someone offered me £10 for the Space Marine half of the Dark Imperium, this is models, bases, book and transfer sheet. All of it is not built. Urm.

The usual painting today, ran out of screaming skull though so I can't highlight the straps/bandages on the models. Well can carry on painting the hounds, they are halfway there, maybe more.
Also want to do a day for just building miniatures, have a small pile that needs doing.

Doing small corrections trying to salvage the Carnosaur.
I have been struggling with lack of motivation the whole week, since I tried to airbrush the Carnosaur and failed spectacularly.

To make up for the lack of a GURPS campaign session this evening, I found myself playing a game of Dreadfleet for the first time.

Don't know how to base my Carrion, grey dirt or brown dirt. Feels like the grey is better because of the reds and brown tints the Carrion have. But not sure.
Just built a Basilisk also, never realised how thin the arms are.

It was a pretty fun specialty game to play, to say the least. Apart from the usual dice rolling for command checks, broadside attacks and boarding actions, card draws are used to represent unpredictable sea conditions and inflicted damage (be it to the crew, the hull, the sails, the ship's mascot, etc), making each round an interesting affair.

How many ships does each player field? Are they all from the same faction/army?

Each player has control over five ships that each hail from different factions and regions, mostly owing to the pirate theme of some ships being stolen.
