8th Ed. What role did Dinosaurs play in your reason for starting Lizardmen?

How important were Dinosaurs in your decision to start up a Lizardmen army?

Dinosaur are the reason why i collect them ,fun rules are the reason why i play them !
 
For me it was mostly playstyle, i started with TK and i really loved the magic, but i wanted some stronger models to back it up for me. LM did exactly that, while looking awesome, i do love my DINOSAWS. :)
 
Dinosaurs are one of the main reasons I play Lizardmen. I'm a huge fan of all things dinosaur and paleontology related. My other reasons were a desire for an army potent in close combat and magic.
 
I started with Warhammer Quest back in the day, and then when I realized I could get the boxed set with Brets and Lizards to justify begging my mom for the old metal Stegadon... Well I had a triceratops to bring to war like a war elephant. That was just the best.
 
My list consists of
An Oldblood on Carnosaur
Core units
A shaman
2 stegadons
2 Ancient Stegadons

not always though. Sometimes i use 2 carnosaurs.
So the answer is pretty obvious for me.
I still love the background though..paleontology and astronomy....Lizardmen rock!
I can't wait to have more points painted to play moar dinos.
 
At first it was all about the dinosaurs that you could bring (remembering the stegadon bony shield rule and it's impact hits made me drool).

The artwork though and the fluff was what REALLY sunk in to me though and especially the original 5th ed Kroak artwork (I remember looking at it and thinking of how awesome the model would be).

The rest as they say is history.
 
It wasn't dinosaurs, exactly, that got me in. It was being able to have a highly monster-focused force. They just happen to be dinosaurs.
 
I use elephants so... It's a lot cheaper and WAR RLEPHANTS!
 
It was ALWAYS about the dinosaurs. A Stegadon was my first major lizardmen model and I've loved the model range ever since. Now I'm waiting to save enough to get a Bastiladon since it looks amazing and fun to paint.
