Are you talking about the big scale plates all over the Bastiladons?

I think he is but a better solution would be to apply a recess wash in between the plates it will help define the edges, don't use nuln oil it's too dark I would use Druchii violet.

That is what I am talking about. I would both edge highlights and what crowsfoot said

At this point, all that was left to do were the bases. I was going for the desert base as is the rest of my Seraphon army, but like I said in a previous post I am looking at ways to make the bases feel less ''empty'', atleast on the bigger ones. So, I decided to add some desert rocks to the sand, and I will be going through my box of bits from all my boxes to find original ideas to ''dress-up'' the bases!

I'm using pieces of cork for the bases, which I'm glueing first to the base.24.jpg

I took a spear from the Tzaangors Enlightened box, cut out the part where the hand holds it and then painted it. I really like the overall look it gives to the bastiladon!

Add a tzangor body with some Greenstuff entrails and we're in business

So overall, the Basti's were a LOT of fun to paint and base! I had a great time and I'll probably go back and do some more details for the armor plates on the back in the near future.

I'm waiting on my Saurus Astrolith Bearer to arrive pretty soon, which will be our next project!

Thanks again everybody for your kind words / suggestions and see you guys then!

I then applied the Armaggeddon Dunes texture paint to the bases,

Nice work on the Bastilodons. Did you have to do any additional work/techniques to achieve the uneven sand effect on the base, or did the texture paint create the effect on its own?

I do a little bit of work on them with my texture-applying tool, but for the most part the ripples are created by themselves when the texture is applied to the base! Really an easy way to get a cool effect!
