i have a case for my Warriors and Knights but I seem to be amassing a collection of dinosaurs :). I have a stegadon, eotg, three bastiladons, trogolodon and carnosaur ( and a magmadroth but I don't usually bring that with my seraphon). Anyone have some good tips for storage and transporting?

Yeah be careful!

I stand mine in drawers for storage, for transportation I just take the drawer but pack foam between the models but this is in a car.

I have a box that I bought, and if I lay the models down on the side, I can fit two Carnosaurs in the bottom layer, which is bigger than the others, no more than two though, so it's not the most efficient way to do it.

I bought some foam for another game, they are a great company.

So I looked at battlefoam but I have the oval bases. I already sent an email to see f they still fit. But they don't have any that I saw for the carnosaur

they have a custom option...

And did you have any problems wight them? Like shipping time, paying or anything?

Nope they where quite professional. :pompus:

That´s great. If I ever need some custom foam trays I´ll ask them, even if they are more expensive. I prefer to not have to fix my models all the time :D

That's what I have currently they seem ok for troops but that's it. Plus if your guys have lots of points on them they get stuck a lot

That´s true, if your models have amy pointy parts they tend to get stuck, but I guess that´s because of the foam, not because it´s GW in particular. About the cases I have the old ones so can´t talk about the ones they currently sell. The old ones are pretty tough and in my opinion they´ll do their job properly. I have never tried to trow the case with models inside downstairs, but for normal playing transport they are good enough. The only accidents I have had is just knocking the case down parallel to the ground, and nothing happened to the models.

The new ones are particularly bad with pointy models because the foam collapses on itself like an accordion. The older styles that had slots it wasn't nearly as bad

I guess that the new cases are better for not pointy models then, like SM. Good I have the old ones, because lizardmen are quite pointy!

I put some bloodletters in that case and they are super pointy

Magnets... and a bit of care. (only to be used if you can ensure that the case will be handled gently)

That is a great case! I also magnetize all my models under their bases for transportation (and easier tray movement with not half my models falling over) But I still transport them in just normal plastic cases and securing the movement trays full of models with the foam coming from those blister packs o they won't move to much. I might layer the bottom of those cases with the rubber sheeting to allow magnets to grab the case it self, but if not to expensive might want to grab those metal cases if I can find some suitable.
