    Hi Everyone,

I'm gauging interest in a 'Tale of Four Warlords' Style painting challenge!

For those who don't know what that is, in White Dwarf they have four players with their own preference of 'Start Collecting!' box who are then given a month to finish painting all the units from it and then have to play against each other.

I'm proposing that we don't do the playing part (as that would be problematic) but that we have to paint and show off our results in a Month (or two if that makes things a bit more doable).

Feel free to state your interest or lack of below!

    Cheers,

    Beardy

I think it is a brilliant idea, not sure if I will join, but I will see what I can do if you get it going.

I probably won't join, mostly because I have a lot of stuff to to and it took me one month to finish a troglodon.

I´d be in if I was allowed to either paint my unstarted lizardmen starter box (how contradictory :p) or paint some non-starter-box space marines :D.
I´d love to join, though for a time frame of two months, I don´t think I´d have enough time in one :joyful:.
Plus it´s perfect timing now because on friday I start a 10-day-long holiday!

So my holidays are approaching :)p:p) and I wondered if there were enough interested people as to start this already! We need people! and I see 7 votes for organizing this!
It´d be nice if each of the participants posted whether they´re taking part and with which army so we get this going already! :D

    Hello All!

I've also roped some other internet friends into this and we're looking at starting on the 1st of May with a two month deadline, hope that suits everyone!

I'll give it a good shot - but we're moving at the end of the month so I have no idea how long it'll be until I can get things back in order to be able to paint, but I'll certainly give it a good shot!

My Start Collecting box also won't be delivered by then as I need to decide which one I want to get! I'll take a rolling start behind everyone else, it's fine!

Yeah a picture of what you are going to attempt to complete and some progress shots as we go along if you can/want to.

I'm going with Dark Eldar for a change!

    Al right then!
So this is what we´ve got decided so far:
    Start: May 1st
    Finish: June 30th
    Participants (5): @BeardyGecko (Dark Eldar), @Crowsfoot , @Ritual , @Jorgik (Lizardmen) , @Lord-Marcus
The goal is to paint a complete Start Collecting! (or any similar conbination of models) box of any army (40k included)
On May 1st all the participants will post a picture of their start collecting (and possibly any other boxes for planned conversions if wished, obviously :p), and once every week of what they´ve done so far, possibly on sundays

This sound pretty good to me. :D

Does it matter if I have pre assembled and primed it all?

Won't be a SC box but the model count will be higher than a Seraphon SC box.

So... Apart from Seraphon... What's everyone's favourite Start Collecting box?

I also have the Silver Tower box, so maybe Chaos dudes to expand on some of the heroes I got in there... Hmm. I need to do some reading.

I have Slvaneth SC but I might sell it, not feeling it, I have Rotbringers which I love but I'm hoping for a Aelf SC box.
