AoS Kroak van cast celestial deliverence 3 Times (for now)

With just this part yes, you're right, but there is an example at the end of the paragraph, saying:

"For example, if a hit roll of 6 or more allows you to make 1 extra attack, this extra attack could not generate further attacks should you roll another 6+."

For me this narrow the rule to the generated attacks, not the toad ones.

I thought it was classified as extra Hitrolls, not attacks xD, also I think someone explained that part of the rules?

Yes, Just checken it, it is extra hit roles. Damn I need to print this all out as a FAQ when using Rippers.

So all in all: Rippers are amazing!
you spend 280 points in 6 Killers and destroy a Celestial Hurricanum
in a second for 380 points! And the opponent still have to get rid of
this bastards!

My club are saying that Rule of one and pulled out that can't generate more attacks rule now.

Honestly, I don't blame them.

Without that rule Rippers are absurd. With it, they are still pretty good.

Same for my club.
Anyway now we have a pretty good Engine of the gods that summons, and summoned units are allowed to move just after. So there are other lists to develop:D

Where does it say in the commentary about kroak being able to use CD 3 times, I can't find it?

Thanks,

So I know I'm a bit late to the party with this topic but surely this also means rippers warscroll rule also takes precedence.

Until we get a FAQ about them, yes.

Was just reading through the six nations thread on tga.community and as i'm sure most predicted, the general consensus seems to be that both Kroak and EOTG are extremely good, and perhaps too strong.

If this continues to be true outside of that one tournament, it would seem likely that there is some kind of light comp at most high level tournaments. I can't imagine Kroak, Rippers and EOTG stay as is for very long.

Sad to see this, breaking the game that quickly so our units might be nerfed in the next few weeks. At least I didn't buy any extra models yet.

In terms of "breaking the game" GW didn't even make it a challenge.

Sure, but "that's why we can't have nice things". Perhaps with a restriction on summoning certain units the thing can be contained. Anyway, it was a matter of time until someone abused the system again.

I feel your comment is aimed in the wrong direction. It's no one's fault but GW.

This has nothing to do with players. Anyone could look at EOTG and say to themselves "gee, a chance of bringing in a ton of free units, in the hero phase, in an army with tons of ways to affect dice rolls, probably isn't the best idea." And they would be absolutely right. It's poor game design, and has absolutely nothing to do with anyone "abusing the system."

I am more of a mind that you shouldn't blame the gun factory but the user for shooting at somebody/something. Say, a more responsible use of the resources given to us by the new edition. But hey, that is just wishful thinking. Of course they will break the game in a blink. On the bright side, I can see a really easy fix to this, no need to nerf our units to oblivion. Unless they really do and THAT would be a shame and not GWs fault at all.

I think your metaphor is way out of wack. It is GW's fault. This isn't a fringe case of some unique combo happening to get abused by a very clever individual. This is a blatantly undercoasted and overpowered unit getting utilized in the most obvious way possible, in an environment where like minded gamers are simply playing the game as they wish.

EOTG can be changed in a million ways that don't mess with the "cool new things" we got with 2.0.

Sorry, but that attitude is frankly pretty insulting to anyone that chooses to treat AoS (or 40k by extension) with any kind of seriousness.

This is more a case of the gun factory releasing a gun that shoots you in the foot, and people saying "well, you could just hold it a different way" when it's pointed out.

I would say the same about your metaphor. And I think there's nothing insulting about my attitude, if I ever expressed one with my words. Hard to say what attitude I have just by reading a couple of lines.
Still, this is only my opinion and you are bound to disagree with me, which I welcome since it might produce some serious discussion on the issue. Feeling insulted by my opinion is of course the last thing I was looking to produce, but I think that if you feel that way it's because there is something I wrote that went against your own beliefs. This discussion can be serious, if you don't feel insulted of course.

Which is why I removed the metaphor from my post in an edit.

The attitude of "it's the players fault, not GW." You summed it up quite well with your gun factory metaphor. I didn't think it was hard to distinguish, but maybe I jumped to conclusions.

It's insulting because it implies that "we can't have nice things" because certain players will always "abuse the system" which is completely unfair to competitive players.

I don't want to derail this thread too much so maybe we can table this discussion for a separate thread.
