The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer II

disappointed that the red crested skinks made it as a new unit, it should be an RoR instead imo. No razordons it seems as well.

other than that, this lord pack is pretty cool
 
That looks great! Most likely I will buy it.
 
There will be an update to the game the same day that the DLC releases that will contain some balance updates, game play and graphical changes and a quest chain to unlock lord Kroak. Sounds pretty good.

No Troglodon. No Razordon.


It seems that the Lizardmen aren't very complete in the game, as compared to Tomb Kings who have everything other than Tomb Swarms.
 
Well, maybe that is just the first trailer and they will be ingame, they just didn't show them.

I hope you're right... it would be great to see them in the game.

The flc Lord has not been announced

although we did get confirmation that Lord kroak is in the game as a legendary hero Ala the Green Knight for bretonnia except much more powerful and at the end of a quest chain available to any lizard-men legendary Lord. Furthermore there is a screenshot on the steam page with his in-game combat model in the background

To be honest I'm glad they're a regular unit, I don't like the RoR mechanic in a TW game. It may be true to the fluff that there's only 1 unit of em. But you quickly have 5-6, or even more, full stack armies running around each often having multiple of the "normal" variant of the RoR in em. That 1 special unit just isn't very relevant or noticeable then..

Maybe I would have waited a tad longer if it had been 18€ like the Beastmen or Tomb Kings DLCs that I almost bought. But 7,50€ ? Cannot be that bad for that price, and I wanted to play a mortal empires campaign with Lizardmen anyway. I like Kroq-Gar but let's see what the Prophet can do. :)
 
I'm curious about their shooting. Lizardman are massivly lacking when it comes to shooting.

We have skink cohorts, but those aren't more than skirmishers
Then we have skinks skirmishers, which are somehow worse than cohorts, being worse in melee, squishier and having a shorter range in exchange for more ammo and being able to fire while moving.
Then we have chameleons which are the single squishiest skink unit, though they get some protection against ranged attacks. Also they can't shoot over your own lines. Which makes em a pain to use as the AI will generally try to make a beeline towards any unprotected ranged troops.

Then we have terradons with javalins, which are just kinda terrible.
Then we have terradons with bola's, and although they do massive amounts of damage if allowed to just bombard an enemy they get slaughtered by anything that can actually fight back.

And lastly we have a bastiladon with solar engine. Which is an weird combo of monster and siege engine, but doesn't really excel at either. It really should have a melee effect on the engine I think.

Having some actually decent ranged units that can shoot from the backline, and are actually intended for that and can manage to outshoot an opponent would be briljant.
