Did you order the paints direct or via ebay?
 
Ordered them direct, pretty sure it was cheaper postage or something that way. Also that way eBay don't take the massive cut.
 
I ordered them direct. All of the stuff I get from Green Stuff World, I order direct. It's not really the kind of supplies that I want to get second-hand. Most of the time, eBay purchases are "slightly" used. I don't want to take a chance with these items. GSW is really fast and efficient with their follow-through as well.

They do have an ebay store and I order of them there but I will go direct in the future.

Is that a vice to hold your minis while you paint them?

Intriguing. :wideyed: I have seen miniatures mounted on sticks before, but never anything like that.
 
Yeah one of the shops I went to said they basically sold them in 5s most the time. It's not necessary. It's so quick to pop something off and on.
 
I don't use them myself, I use small round plastic medicine containers. Roughly the size of corks but you can put something in there so they are heavier, which makes them less prone to falling over. Then I use poster putty (UHU Patafix in my case but there are others) to put the model on there.

Exactly. I usually paint five to ten models at the same time, I have enough medicine bottles and putty for that, so I won't replace those, but for a hero to put it safely on there and grab it and paint it, I can totally imagine doing that.
 
I love mine. It fits my hand well and prevents my hand from cramping after spending hours painting and holding it. It also keeps me focused on one model at a time. I usually have several projects going on at the same time so this puts the model I'm working with on a pedestal so that my attention is kept on it.

I will say that it is spring loaded so that swapping models out is a breeze. Literally seconds. I've also seen people simply take a base that they are not using, attach a piece of wood across the top of it, and then stick 5 models to the top of that with puddy in order to do their batch painting. I haven't done this, but I just might put it together tonight and post a pic for you guys.

Actually, this is where I saw it. I'll test it out though.
